I've been playing legion for a couple years now, and it has been a joy watching you guys navigate your way through your second game of legion. You are actually doing really well with the rules in general, as legion can be confusing at times and misunderstanding some rules even 10 games in is fairly common if you dont have a veteran to walk you through them. I hope you keep it up, its a great game, and go empire!

Kudos to anyone putting a bunch of B1 droids together… I hated putting those together with a passion!

I love both 40k and legion but legion is so much fun right now. Having to wait your opponent to play their full turn while you only save and remove your miniatures feels very dated compared to alternate activations.

The turn system is something I wish AoS would steal. The double turn is such a salty mechanic, but I think Legion’s card based betting system is an awesome way to allow double turns while going actual control to players and not just leaving feel-bad situations.
  • Nice work guys! I've had a bit of 40k fatigue and have taken up legion so It's great to see you guys making this content.

I stopped watching you guys when I drifted away from 40k and started playing Legion. Glad to be back as you guys have the best batreps on youtube.

Always supportive of you trying new things, and I enjoyed seeing how this system works. Would say that games where half the table is covered in cards may need a way to show them a little more clearly than the split screen, although I appreciate that may be much more difficult than it was for the Magic games. Anyways, some stunning models from those who painted them and personally wouldn't mind seeing the odd game or two more as everyone gets up to speed with the rules.

I loved the D&D Attack Wing game for systems like this. Was a pretty amazing game, but just not enough folks tried it.

It’s always nice to take a step away from 40K and play something else. Keeps things fresh. Loving the AOS battle reports as well

So, interesting thing about the whole dice thing comes from the idea of Surges. So, B1 Droids save on White Dice with no add on's, effectively a 6+ save There are certain units that save on White Dice, Surging to Defense, meaning a 5+ save The Red Dice are the equivalent of a 4+ save And, by far the most powerful version is the Red Dice, Surging to Defense, 3+ saves. The reason why there are White, Black, and Red Attack dice is of a similar theory. White Dice, on their own, have a 1/4 (2/8) chance of success (Crit and Hit) White Dice, Surging to Hit, have a 3/8 chance of success (Crit, Hit, and Surge) Black Dice have a 1/2 (4/8) chance of success, with 2 additional Hit markers from White Black Dice, Surging to Hit, have a 5/8 chance of success Red Dice have a 3/4 (6/8) chance of success, with 2 additional Hit markers from Black And, similar to Defense, by far the most powerful version is Red Dice, Surging to Hit, with a near guaranteed 7/8 chances of success. The reason Black exists is because, I suppose as a design choice, they decided to have hits be on 8 sided dice, and saves on 6 sided dice. If, for some reason, the system was all 6 sided dice or all 8 sided dice, then they'd follow the same rules (My personal theory of why they used a higher chance of hitting than defending is because of how lethal everything seems to be in the Star Wars universe, no matter who you are, at best, you have a 1/3 chance of dying outright (Assuming you only have 1 health)). Hope this helps a bit
