i still do not understand to this day why in the world the French sheltered Khomeini.
  • 1979 soviets invaded afghanistan 1980 iran -iraq war. After the revolution all that happen.Coincidence?

American chap at 9:37 believes that Iran's excessive defence procurement programme is a needless and futile expenditure because its only enemy - The Soviet Union, would always eclipse it militarily anyway.... Yes, I may have the benefit of hindsight here but considering that longtime rival Iraq attacked barely two years after this programme aired that really was a very shortsighted and naive assertion on his part!
  • My grandfather was a general and was killed by the regime cause he worked for the Shah. Islam isn’t bad, but how are you going to force God on people? God doesn’t even force his love on us, who are you to do that!

I truly and honestly belive if the Shah had remained we would have had a totally different middle east, central Asia and south east Asia. The greatest travesty for the region was the ousting of the Shah and helping place there a fundamental religious government. And I am a proud Muslim....

This Mc Carthy dude analys on the arm deals were totally wrong . In 1979, the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan (which btw would have never occureed with the Shah still in power), the Red Army was humililiated by a bunch a mountaineers peasants known as the Mojadehin. So the Shah's strategy to arm up his country was indeed totally legit.

France has allowed the Ayatollah and Pol Pot to reside in their country before they returned to Iran and Cambodia respectively to impose totalitarian destructive repressive regimes upon their people. All France had to do was to say Non and history might have been different.

This ridiculously partial documentary made by our British friends shows the clear support of the UK in favor of Khomeiny.

Do they feel safer now? When you rebel but don’t really know what you’re rebelling against is just privilege

We watched documentaries like these and listened to so called heroic songs of the time and decided to destroy everything and build paradise over night, how wrong can you get, Pahlavi dynasty was by no means blameless but so much work had been done an instead of making small changes we went on the path of self destruction, our fathers are to blame for the total f**k up of Iran,

The religious feel they have the power of God on their side but they are just mere pawns for the real players. Amazing own goal.. Dress up in a hat long gown and read a few lines to a packed audience and the stage is set.
