Dude who plays Thomas is amazing face actor he literally changed from idiot to an inteligent dude in a blink of an eye.
  • This man has acted in several crime dramas, and almost in everyone, he plays an innocent soul, hiding the wolf beneath and everytime he will awe you with his skills and emotions

I think the most interesting thing about this scene is that Patrick tries to take the moral high ground on Thomas, but when Thomas rebuffs him and confesses that he loved every moment of that revenge, it genuinely resonates with Patrick. The only mistake that Thomas makes is thinking that Patrick wouldn’t understand when—in reality—he was maybe the only one who really could.
  • Jane was born for this role. I wish I could be as sharp as him.

-“Ahab does die at the end doesn’t he?” - “Yes, but so does the whale.” What incredible dialogue

The Mentalist is the most understated, underrated and unappreciated show ever

no one can change my mind about this show being one of the best shows that have ever been made. it’s so interesting, the plot and the actors are absolutely amazing and it is so underrated!

Jane is scarier than Thomas in this scene. The “I can see you” and “Hello, good to meet you” lines are terrifying

The change from Tommy to Thomas is amazing, face expressions and the way he speaks to Jane after he discovers him is, in a way, poetic.

the “I can see you” line brought a tear to my eye. Imagine someone looking you straight in the eye and telling you that you should drop the act because they can see right through you. brilliant.

Thomas is a damn good actor. Whoever that guy is, great side character, perfect facial expressions, and the ability to change personalities at the flick of a switch.

"I can see you." Some of the most terrifying words one human can ever say to another. It was those words that got Thomas to drop the Tommy act. He even smiled, as if he was finally glad that someone had finally seen through the act.

The Chinese have a saying, “Before setting out on revenge, you must first dig two graves”

I will always say this was one of the best & most underrated shows of all time. The way they weaved the Red John story arc throughout while still focusing on other stories was brilliant.
  • @gragrn
Frederick Koehler gave an awesome performance in this scene, as did Simon Baker. It was a brilliant piece of writing by Ashley Gable and Bruno Heller. Well done to all involved.

This was one of the best, most underrated TV shows out there. The sheer brilliance and intelligence of it. But at the same time, the poetic aura and the depth of emotions and the wisdom. A true masterpiece! Patrick Jane is one of the most amazing and most complex characters ever written. I will never forget him or this tv show.

The acting in this from both actors is incredible. All the subtleties; love watching this scene over and over...
  • My favourite line of this scene is Jane saying “Of course, the Pequod. Silly of me” with a calmly serious expression. Because when it comes to him, “silly” mistakes like this are always made with a carefully thought out purpose and that line and the delivery really show that. The best character ever written on tv in my opinion.
