i never saw a movie that he wasn't great in.

While Hoffman died young, his list of great performances feels endless. While his life was cut short, I feel like his career wasn't. I feel like he lived up to his potential
-
Forget unfinished movies, he left three kids without a dad.
-
He was an amazing character actor with such depth and complexity.
-
And he was a beautiful to watch in any role, he made me so happy when I saw him in anything, Thank you so much Phillip Seymour Hoffman, rest easy xx

I cried when I heard this BAD BAD news. Addiction does not discriminate. Phillip will always be a BEST man on stage and film❤
-
too sad we wont be seeing him anymore, such a great artist

I lost my favorite actor. RIP, Philip!

I love his work. He was always great. As a fellow addict, I know his pain.
-
He was a genuinely nice person and it's not only about his career - it's about not getting to live a long life to enjoy his children, friends, and simple joys.

Best actor of this generation. And whoever produced this segment did a really great job 👏🏿

It's late 2020, and I still really miss him and his talent.

I am a recovering Opioid Addict coming on 6 years clean. 2 years ago I found my young brother stone cold dead from a Heroin Overdose, blue, stiff with his eyes still open. Please people trust me just stay away & never touch the junk.

Drug addiction is a disease. I remember him as an AMAZING ACTOR. I hope there R millions more who will remember him the way I do ! RIP!

His whole career was his prime!

Only an addict can sorely understand the obscene selfishness that is addiction. Some of us are weak, some stronge, some with you, some alone, some of us are assholes, some of us saints, but all of us hurt. It's the undiagnosed and untreated mental anguish that drives our addictions. Rest in peace sir.

"Above all, I am a man."

The man could act! He was brilliant! I honestly first notices him in Boogie Nights. He would act period.
