This Furry Convention is for POPULAR FURRIES ONLY!

Hi guys im organizing a exclusive elite furry convention (dnd night) where only the most elite furries (my local friends) will gather at an exclusive venue (my house) and have a great convention (play dnd) and exclude everyone else (get taco bell)

I honestly wouldn't blame the popular ones for having a private con if they wanted to do it. Just a way for them to hang out as friends and fellow furries instead of dealing with fans.

The IRONY here is that these private-little-get-togethers-with-friends evolved into Furry Conventions.

Wait until they discover mythic furries, epic furries, and the other furry rarities!

This really feels like "Dang, you didn't invite the entire world to your birthday party? That is so rude of you!"

twitter furries will see a group of 4 people they've never met go bowling and be like "WHY WASN'T I INVITED"

I am so confuse on why is this a issue, this is just a fun weekend with friends. this is no different when I hang with my irl friends to their house and we have fun.

People like to pick fights. But I feel like the seed of the drama was calling it a "con" instead of a meetup or club or similar. Con generally implies some level of public access, while the other terms imply private or otherwise restricted access. It'd be like calling a solid brick a "red clay liquid" an then insisting its just a name when people get confused.

Furries never cease to amaze and confuse me. Those two are not mutually exclusive, but you know.

I think having more, smaller events is great - you know, within reason. Big cons always feel so rushed and wild. More people means being spread too thinly among everyone you want to see... but if there's maybe a half dozen people I know then I can spend more time with them and we can all leave feeling a bit more... Connected? Less alone? The whole drama over private events thing is definitely not new though. There used to be a private New Years party in a castle somewhere in Germany - and the whole month of December and January there were meets which were just insufferable because of all the talk of "it's for popufurs only, they think they're better than us"... Which just spawned more private parties by our locals!

Why would anybody be mad at this? That would be like seeing a post of someone having fun at a birthday party and being mad you weren’t invited lol

I'm actually seriously thinking of starting something like that in Oklahoma. I'm looking at retiring, moving to Oklahoma buying a dozen acers and I will invite furs to come out to go camping on my property.

It's not a furry convention it's just an intimate get-together, get-together.
