This is the first half of a 1,600-mile trip which includes two classics which together were parked for 44 years, a flight, sleepless nights, and plenty of wrenching! This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle was very well taken care of. It has a 307 small block chevy, original to the car, backed by a 2 speed Powerglide transmission. At one point, restoration was started. It received a lot of bodywork and beautiful blue metallic paint. The car was parked in 2003 after it's inspection ran out, so it's been sitting for 17 years. Do you think it will start, and drive 500 miles to the new owner?

  • I'd just like to recognize how this comedic genius is able to NEVER SAY A SINGLE SHRED OF FOUL LANGUAGE. Absolute genius. And educational. 👌 Great job Derek.

it only takes about 5 seconds to know this guy is the real deal, the world is full of good people,... but the media wants us to think we all dislike each other. this dude is an American treasure. dave in NC:)

I wish this man every bit of success because he deserves it.
  • I’m a Ford guy who loves a chevelle. Something about them. Just starting watching these videos and I love his content and positive attitude and he’s funny. Thanks sir

I swear you have the only channel that posts an hour long video that is worth watching!

My dad was an engineer for General Motors for 42 years. He was born in Northport, Michigan, and when he worked on his cars, said “bat-tree”, “a tickle”, and frequently said “I’ll be dipped”. Thanks for making this 51 yr old daughter of a Detroit auto engineer smile at the memories of her dad. ❤️💞

Brings back memories, my first car was a 1968 chevelle, dark blue, white top, black and white interior, 307, powerglide. My dad and I rebuilt it when I was 15, so I was able to put it on the road when I turned 16.

"Chevy small block firing order on my tombstone. So humid a mosquito passed out. This is my Tonya Harding. Niagara Falls has been relocated to my back." Best one liners since Henny Youngman. An American Red Green.

I’m in britain and I am LOVING your channel. There’s nothing I like better than following your adventures with American classic cars. I dont own a classic American, but I love American cars like this one. It was good of you to help out the new owner getting it started etc. there’s no one better than you for that job! I loved that Dodge Challenger ‘vanishing paint’ car! Just a dream that’ll never happen for me, but I’m glad it happens for others when you fix up these amazing cars. Great stuff, well done Derek! Brian. 🇬🇧👍
  • What frightens me the most Derek is that I began watching you last year and I was like...."WTF is he saying???"....fast forward to today and I talk to friends about cars the same way you do. I HAVE BEEN INFECTED!!!!!
  • "Cotter pin " your old school mechanical knowledge is absolutely fantastic Derek

Hi Derek, just wanted to pass on a quick note of thanks. I don't think you and other Youtubers get enough credit for the terrific job do editing your videos. I'm assuming you're like most of us and just taught yourself as you went along. To me, the best parts of youtube are seeing creators grow and develop into wonderful editors and cinematographers without any formal training. Love your videos. Blessings to you and your family! ❤🙏👍

That old gas to quote Mustie was "morning piss yellow" 😂😂
  • @jrussellcase
"There's a chainsaw store about every 200 yards...every business has the word Bear or Wolf in it...and I just saw a guy on a four-wheeler ordering tacos"....Sounds like a nice town. 👍
  • I love to watch your shows! It is very educational and I appreciate the fact that you DONT use FOUL language!!! most of these shows are not family friendly, thank you for your professionalism and integrity!
  • I found this channel through a friend and glad I did. I laugh so hard and sometimes get teary-eyed watching, but it helps my PTSD I unfortunately gained from Afghanistan. You telling people to keep there feet moving on there projects motivates me daily. I lost my dad in 2018 and can't even count how many motors we put in his K5 blazer or El Camino. Thank you so much for what you're doing and if get to Texas again look me and wife up we'll have a woble pop. God Bless you.
