In Helldivers 2, I often get asked, what are helldivers 2 best stratagems? My answer is often that best stratagems don't exist. It's more about utilising them effectively.

In this video, I will go over some of the most underrated stratagems in the game and package them into some solid helldivers 2 tips and tricks for you to work with.

You could use these in conjunction with helldivers 2 tierlists and beginners guide that may also be packed with helldivers 2 tips. This video does highlight one of helldivers 2 best loadout and best weapons contenders.

    HMG Emplacement is I think very underrated. It's basically an EAT for the HMG. Find a good vantage point and just mow everything down, including Shrieker nests, Hulks, you name it. Just use a shield if you're going against bots because they will blow you up 😂

    A random brought this on a bug mission. I knew about how the Bile Titan can kill itself, and got 3 of them to kill themselves by baiting the spit. SO SATISFYING.

    The Blitzer is an awesome fire-on-the-move shotgun. Because you don't need to aim you shouldn't waste time aiming, and therefore, dakka dakka while running with a splitsecond stop for firing. I can manage hunters with it, because I fire while perpetually disengaging. They leap at me, I dive on the ground to dodge the leap and fire while diving.

    Need to spread the word on the best free always available stratagem in the game. Traitor buff, 90 degree turns every 2 seconds. Longest 380 barrage of all time. Just change direction you are running by 90 degrees every 2 seconds and you can just be a barrage. Yes you can get on pelican and extract with the Traitor buff on.

    Great tips, I especially like the shield relay, I hadn't used it on bugs because I figured they'd just run through it and attack you. Using it as a decoy is ingenious! 2:18
  • A quicker, less efficient method of improving supply drop efficiency is to give teammates a box from your pack after you pick up a box from the drop. It's not 100% increased effectiveness, though it's still more efficient than every player taking their own. I do agree, though, that supply pack swapping is the most effective, just requires 4 players that are support player oriented.

    THANK YOU!!! I have mained the Grenade launcher + Supply pack from the second I got them and I absolutely love it, it is so much fun carpet bombing everything in sight. I would suggest to anyone who wants to try it. Get used to its lob arcs, you can get just over 100m distance if you angle it right.

    For the blitzer spread, i'm playing it for a month and that's not the ads which makes a larger cone, imo its the speed you're going (when you're weapon go side to side), when you're strifing (while sprinting) like we see in the video, the cone tends to be larger, if you're running toward this as no influence. So when you're aiming while strifing, you get slower and the cone seems to be reduced then. But if you're standing still you'll see no difference between aiming and not.
  • Nice! I LOVE shield relay. Shield relay and stun grenades are my primary means to increase my reliability on getting head shots/weak zones on bots. Aim bounce and getting rag dolled by automaton fire is one of the primary reasons it's hard to hit the weak spots on a lot of bot targets. These two things make it easy for both you and your squad to hit aim and quickly dispatch threats. The cooldown is just 1 minute, don't overthink when you should throw it down. If it doesn't end up being used it's not that big a deal, it will be back again very quickly. Tons of other specific use cases on bots: Cover vs gunships. Generally you need precise aim on the engines. Being able to just stand still and aim is very helpful. Cover vs mortar base. Adds a short period of relief while in a fight near mortars. Cover vs gun turrets. It can fully block a gun turret shot and can help you move closer to it to take it out or pass by. It's the best way to solo a factory strider without eagles/orbitals. I often throw down a relay and push a factory strider on my own. Autocannon/AMR the two chin guns quickly since it's right in front of me and letting it rip on the bottom hatch. If you call it directly on a fabricator it will destroy the fabricator. It's a 60s cooldown stratagem that has such a wide variety of ways it can be helpful similar to eagle air strike. It's very underrated from what I've seen.

    Started using the gas strike because I saw they fixed the DOT. It's actually great, because of the short cool down it's almost always available.

    I see a lot of people sleeping on the standard MG turret. Many think the gatling is purely superior, but its not. The standard MG has higher armor pen and tends to waste less ammo due to its slower rate of fire. People sleep on mines because they don't know proper mine usage. Mines draw patrol aggro like other sentries do, but don't time out. When a patrol sees a mine field they will move to attack it. This often puts them inside the mine field. Meaning that an active minefield can still kill a patrol well after you have left the area. Sentries, mines included, also do not trigger reinforcement calls from patrols like offensive stratagems do. Meaning a few well placed mine fields can cut down on patrol numbers and flanks. Just make sure you follow proper mine etiquette and leave some space to get around the mines and tag them so your team knows they are there.

    Bile is not reflected. When bile hits the ground, it creates an AoE explosion. When BT barfs at the shield point-blank, it gets faceful of this AoE damage and blows itself up.

    If you shoot while jumping with the Jump pack the first shot is usually way off but if you continue to fire the majority of the time the shots will line up straight ahead and you can take out enemies quickly.
