Facebook is very generous to scammers. They have been allowing scammers to place ads on their site for years (80% of Facebook ads are scams) and now this. Facebook should be held accountable.

It's obviously suspicious if an email from "Meta Platforms" comes from a domain not associated from Facebook or Meta.

Wow, its getting really crazy nowadays with these hackers now smh. This is truly very concerning.

That horrendous word salad of a run-on opening sentence is a dead giveaway that its not a professional email

A tip that I give to my circle is : If you receive an email about you need to click a link because something bad happened. You can either #1 call the customer service of the company and ask about the email. #2 just ignore it and delete it. If it is really important the company will contact you.

It is great that these companies closed the exploits but did they or someone get the scammers? The people that do this should really get punished when caught. If they are working in countries that turn a blind eye that country should be held accountable in some way. SO FRUSTRATING! 😡

One of the ways to check if a Website is legit or a phishing site is to try a wrong password on it, if it lets it through then you know its a scam.

Now I can't even trust anyone in the world

9:24 the only problem is that if it was supposedly Facebook and you typed in their web address and clicked support to check are you in FB prison or is there’s a ban case against you, you will get no response. In fact trying to find FB Support is literally impossible and the last time I tried to get FB support I had to use their Twitter account to contact them and still got no response.

@ThioJoe I have a question. My dad opens his gallery on his phone, and game ads pop up. I've tried to go into safe mode and delete apps, deleted some apps that seemed fishy, and had him delete unimportant pictures and videos from hus gallery. I did a scan on his phone, and this still happens. How do I get rid of this spam virus, thank you?

For this particular hack... just delete your Facebook/Meta account. This way you immediately know you could not have possibly done anything that violates anything.
