Is CHINA safe for MUSLIMS? Moroccan Student Shares Her TRUTH!

Published 2024-01-09
There have been multiple reports in the media about Muslims in China. But what is the reality behind all this? Do muslims really have trouble in China?
After traveling across Xinjiang and many other Muslim locations in China, I came across this mosque in Shanghai China where I met some Muslims on a Friday during their prayer.
They shared their personal experiences and truth about being a Muslim in China

No country is perfect but China is a lot less imperfect than America, Canada, Britain and EU. I greatly admire China.

since the Tang dynasty( 618-907), Islam has been introduced to the Chinese community, and Islamic culture has always been part of Chinese culture. Unlike the Japanese or Koreans, the Chinese community has always been multi-ethnic and multi-religions for at least 2000 years.

There are 44,000 mosques in China, which is 2 times more than the mosques in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and France combined.

I'm glad to be living in a multipolar world, and I'm glad to be seeing an African travelling around China freely to tell us the true story of China. You are dispelling all the negative views about China coming out of Western media daily. Long live China, long live Africa.

In China, truth is greater than religion, and the greatest success of the government is not to let religion take precedence over personal beliefs

All countries not perfect but China tries it's best while US doesn't at all!

It is good to see the Muslims all happily living their lives without the prejudices that exist in the West. There was troubles in Xinjiang when ISIS started moving there from the Afghanistan war, the Chinese government stepped in got rid of the extremists so the peoples of Xinjiang could return to their peaceful ways. Good report Willene 👍👍👍

you are the first to make video about muslim community as a non muslim foreigner, at least you're the first that i found😊 great job, will❤
  • Actually, my 2 cents on racism im Chinas. Ive lived in Beijing in 2007 for about 9 months, as part of my university course. Im from Germany. If there was racism then it was shielded away by language barriers. But i felt that there was no racism at least in beijing and other big cities. The only occasion of racism i experienced was by two english speaking young professionals or students (judging from their ascents i assume they were Brits) they were making fun of the local communters calling them apes who needed a wash. I confronted them and asked them if i should translate what they were saying to the locals (albeit in very bad chinese) Funny world eh?

Very happy to see this video. I am Chinese, and my husband and I got married in this mosque in 2007❤. It was also here that I met my most sincere friend.

I come from a Hui Chinese Muslim family and grew up among mostly the Han Chinese (the majority ethnic group accounting for ~90% of the population). Speaking from experience, we as minorities are often the center of care and attention and are given privileges in many aspects of life. The average Han Chinese views us as rare, precious, and fundamental to the country’s ethnic diversity. I’m tired of having to explain this to people that have been heavily propagandized by certain medias.

You are respectful to the people and culture. Always asking and seeking permission to avoid causing offence. You are a valued visitor to China unlike some who left and throw dirt on the country and people on social media with lies and generalisation because of few bad examples, just to earn a few bucks. ( Most would know who I am referring to)

One will notice in China, as I have, that there's a heavier police presence in very popular mosques, and not so in other places of worship. The reason is more about prevention of sabotage of mosques by extremist groups than that of monitoring Muslims.

You do a great job! Praise from Hong Kong 👍👍👍

Halal Muslim food is very popular in every where we have visited and no discrimination is seen! People are free to follow their believes & they do it without any issues/obstacles. Rules are applicable for all people and not to a specific race/group/believe/society! Restriction that western people indicates or says, aren't really a restriction to common Chinese people. Rather it's their way of doing things.
