I have an LP recording of Kay playing the Wicks theatre/classic pipe organ manufactured for Oral Roberts University in the 1950s. He played the same excellent arrangement of "Who" on that.

This song is so well done on the organ. Sounds so fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

There will only ever be one Kay! A great musician and showman, and the consumate teller of jokes. He will be missed.

Exceptional Talent ! Not a bad organ either... Thanks for posting.

What a wonderful and sparkling arrangement of Who! Earlier today I listened to Kay's recording of "Who" that he made on the Wheeler Wicks organ way back in the early 1970s. He really had it then and he obviously still had it at his late age for sure when he recorded this video. A good friend of mine called me last week mentioning to me that Kay may come to Wisconsin for another visit but that same day he learned of Kay's passing.

I wish I could afford a organ like that for my home.
-
One of Theatre organ's true originals. Kay was among the very best.
-
This console is the original Kimball from the New York Roxy and Kay is a legend in his own time !! I was lucky enough to see and hear him at The 5 manual "bijou" in Wisconsin.
-
Lovely sound from a beautiful old organ

A documentary about Kay McAbee would be worth it too. Maybe i get a bit into sentimentality here, but the way he looks and plays, reminds me a lot of my granddad playing piano or organ in my early youth.
