I had so much fun at the renfaire in Los Angeles, they had so many cool things to explore! My favorite thing was definitely the do it yourself learning area, I chose to learn to use the drop spindle but I want to go back and learn to make chainmaille and everything else they offer! What's your favorite Renaissance festival? Let me know and I'll try to come visit!

  • Lately I've been binging ren faire vlogs, and this one was fantastic! I love seeing people get into fiber arts! (my family has a small sheep farm) I actually just finished spinning several skeins (I pronounce it Skayn) on a spinning wheel. I'd recommend Marino (the breed of sheep) fiber as an all over good beginner fiber, it can also be dyed if you buy white or a light color! There's so much to explore if you get into fiber!

I'm working at Great Lakes Medieval Faire this summer for the first time and they're slowly adding a lot of things that they had pre-covid so we need as many people that can come, to come!

The Northern California Renaissance Faire in Hollister is great. It runs from Sept 16th through Oct 22nd this year

Ooooh, I'd love to see more stuff for Micha. So much of fantasy costumes for men are just a plain shirt and pants.

I highly recommend the Minnesota Ren Faire, Texas Renaissance Festival, Arizona, and Sherwood Forest

Looks like a great day! I love when we see a bit more of Micah too as he’s adorable, you guys are so sweet 🥰
  • The Utah thanksgiving point ren faire is super fun! Tons of delicious foods and the have lots of the artisan stations where you can learn too :)
  • Your ren faire vlogs are such a delight to watch. They really capture what it feels like to attend one! I've been binging ren faire vlogs recently to prepare for my local one (Bristol, WI) to open in a little under 2 months, and came across your channel from that. Was so excited to see you just uploaded another 😊 Your vlogs inspire me to start vlogging again and especially to vlog at ren faires! Also love the elf look! 💚🧝‍♀

Loved this, I'm in the UK and although there are 'faerie fayres' and others similar, theres nothing like an American Ren fair here at all. I love watching videos of people going and doing activities, shopping and eating all the stuff! I like the little GRWM beforehand too :)
  • Not a ren faire, but for fiber arts demos/workshops in a festival environment, you should come out to Maryland's sheep & wool festival (spring; alas this year's just passed) or the fall alpaca festival. Not to be missed: the alpaca obstacle course competition (fall), the sheep-to-shawl competition (spring), and nearly spherically fluffy rabbits (both)

Hi I know this vid was from a year ago but I hope you read this: I was happy to see you feature and compare my local renfaire with others but I just want to mention that LA is not actually a desert (as you mentioned) LA has a chaparral Mediterranean climate, calling it a desert is misinformation and impacts our local ecology because this common misconception has caused landscapers to treat it as one. Our native trees are oaks and sycamores, not palm trees and while we do have dry hot summers, we also are supposed to have cool wet winters (we just happen to be coming out of a very long drought). Anyway, I don’t want to come off as a nitpicker I just want to help educate!
  • Lovely to see you two at the Faire in LA. I remember when it was in Agoura CA... I learned to spin wool there! May you enjoy many decades of spinning! My hands no longer let me spin so I buy my spun wool and angora yarns from a local crafter who has her own sheep and goats and teaches fiber arts at faire... she can be found at the Oregon Renaissance Faire in Canby OR in June, Canterbury Renaisance Faire in Silverton OR in July, and the Washington Midsummers Renaissance Faire in Bonney Lake WA in August... I used to work those faires but now have become a playtron rather then a player.
  • Very beautiful video as always! I always love watching Renfaire vlogs because they don't really exist in Germany, and the one you went to looks so fun! The dragon puppet at 3:30! She is gorgeous! And the drop spindles! Oh my goodness, it's all so cool and everyone looks fantastic!
  • Yes the gathering of the dorks on the first full moon on the second fortnight of the new season.
  • Love your garb and that’s such an awesome and simple hairstyle! 🖤
  • The Northern California Ren faire seems cool, ive never been to that one but will be later in the year
  • one of these days i'll get back to going to ren faires and medieval faires... plan is to have some chain mail done up.. takes a while to do it by hand.. even using some majik "power drill" to help make all the links, assembly is still slow... also need to redo my wand as well, though my staff is still intact.. it is built Atlantian style, basically a copper rod wrapped in leather with a quartz crystal topper...
  • I would HIGHLY recomend going to TRF in Texas if you guys can! It's in the fall every weekend in October and November and I'll be working there this year! I've been a professional henna artist for years and have done henna at the ren faire a few time but this time ill actually be there all season. It'll be cool to see you if you decide to stop by and get a henna!
  • This is an entire world that i need in my life. My depression would cease to be going to ren faires and larping as much as possible.
  • @Rosiebud82
SoCal is one of my favorites! I grew up going to that one! I believe Texas also has some craft classes too. Though last time I went, I mainly focused on drinking. Parking at faires is really dependent on States. For tye So Cal one it's actually on State Park you have to pay for Parking there any time of the year.
