I loved the movie. I understand the daughter's stance too though. I would have felt the same way if my mother had gotten into a situation like that. The reality of her drifting off in that boat, ending up on land with her Alzheimers unable to tell anyone who she was, where she came from, and no way to refill her medicine. If she didn't throw the bottle away, they would have her info. It was a lovely dream though.

How adam could get her out on boat again from nursing home? Did he get sued? Anyway... it's a sad and beautiful story with lots wondering.

I am astonished at the comments loving this movie. The ending was absolutely foolish at best and criminal at worst. He would be facing prison for murder charges. She would either be found by her daughter before she even got very far or worse, thirst and starve to death. Not a pleasant way to die.
