I am wondering how they get there - you guys are several miles from the hills right? I suspect a wash, storm drains or maybe sewers? GG see's them in her early AM walks sometimes also. She carries pepper spray just in case but normally they are afraid of humans. Watch your small pets tho. If more than one they'll have a little one go in and then try to lure a dog back chasing it then all of them pounce.
