How to Get Better at Painting Minis: Understanding Colour

2023-12-30に共有
Colour is something we can see, yet we don't think about it. Much like walking we just do it...but when it comes to painting 'just doing it' doesn't help. Learn about how we see colour and why sometimes the colour you want to achieve and the colour that is painted on your model don't match and how to make it more accurate.

Thanks for always remembering people with predominantly metallic armies! Still making my way through your older videos but you offer a really thoughtful perspective that's lacking from a lot of other mini painting channels. You guys rock!
  • This is the first time I’ve actually understood about the basics and I’ve saved this video for future use. Great job guys

This is a fantastic video! Thanks for this. Note on white: I'm enjoying Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White, though I tend to go super light gray with white as a highlight/mixing color. As for black, I just finished a Battle Sister squad with black armor, and I found that Corvus Black + Pro Acryl Payne's Grey made a great mid-tone, shaded with black in the darkest recesses and tiny/thin edge highlights into a white glazed with jade.
