CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Khan (Ricardo Montalban) is angered that Kirk (William Shatner) is still alive, but knows how to really hurt Kirk.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is fondly regarded as being the closest in spirit to the 1966-69 TV series that spawned it. Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) escapes the tedium of a desk job to join Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley) on another space mission. While boldly going where no man etc. etc., Kirk crosses the path of his old enemy Khan (Ricardo Montalban), who as any die-hard Trekker can tell you, was the chief antagonist in the 1966 Trek TV episode "Space Seed." Leading a crew of near-savage space prisoners, Khan insinuates himself into the Genesis Project, which is designed to introduce living organisms on long-dead planets. Intending to harness this program for his own despotic purposes, Khan engages in battle with the Enterprise crew.

"I've done far worse than kill you... I've hurt you. And I wish to go on... hurting you. " One of the best lines delivered by a villain ever.

This movie was great. But in my opinion, it had it's pros and KHAAAANNNs
  • @rhettdilley
In space, no one can hear you scream... unless you’re William Shatner
  • @KiwiKugai
The moment that Kirk finally and completely blew his cool.

When you real hate someone the best thing to do is yell their name so loud, it echoes in space
  • You managed to kill just about everyone else but like a poor marksmen you keep missing the target! Best line in the movie.

"I've Done Far Worse Then Kill You. I've Hurt You, and I Wish to Go on Hurting You. I Shall Leave You as You Left Me, As You Left Her, Marooned for Eternity in the Center of a Dead Planet, Buried Alive". One of my all-time favorite villain quotes.
  • I love how they discover a mysterious, unknown alien lifeform that can be used to control minds, and Kirk's natural reaction is to just kill the shit out of it
  • The fact that they never saw each other face to face makes Shatner and Montalbon's performances that much more impressive!

First thing Kahn did when he got the Reliant? Reupholster the Captain's Chair with Fine Corinthian Leather ;)

I love the change in Kirk's tone at 1:19, when the Genesis torpedo is beamed away. Before that, Kirk is angry but controlled, goading Khan in an attempt to produce an emotional response. After that, he's off-balance and truly worried. He knows too much about what Genesis can do.

Yes yes Khaaaan yada yada. But the totally underrated line, love how he delivered it - "like a poor marksmen you keep missing the target." Frickin awesome
  • Ricardo Montalban was 61 when he filmed this ....even at an older age he was a badass Villain
  • 2:07 one the greatest yells in cinematic history!!! This movie is the greatest Star Trek movie ever!!!!
  • @dwalted
One of Ricardo Montalban's finest performances. RIP Khaaaaaaaan!!!!!
  • The delivery of "but like a poor marksman you KEEP MISSING the TARGET" is wonderful.
  • @bdoakes
Some say you can still hear his screams as you pass the Mutara Nebula.
  • @RichardStrong86
"The Wrath of Khan" was a cerebral chess match between two opponents who never meet face to face. "Into Darkness" ended with a fist fight between Khan and Spock. That says it all really.

What many people don’t realize is that Kirk’s yell is an act, another trick he pulls on Khan. Kirk knows that Spock and the Enterprise will be back in 2 hours, he wants Khan to think he has severely crippled Enterprise and that repairs will take TWO DAYS per the overheard radio damage report. Thus, Kirk expresses his anger in a controlled fashion; the outburst serves a purpose.
