Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been at the heart of a brutal war between Israel and Hamas. But this tiny 25-mile strip's troubled history started long before the current hostilities. After Israel captured Gaza during the 1967 Six-Day War, its fate took a turbulent turn, eventually falling under Hamas' control. Now governed by Hamas, Gaza has witnessed immense suffering and resilience in the face of decades of conflict.

Who will control Gaza next? It's uncertain. But understanding the deep, historical roots of this conflict is crucial to solving it.

If they continue with Hamas, nothing will change in Gaza

You must admit - some of the Gaza population were migrants from Egypt. Actually many of them

On 1967 Jurden and Israel agreed that Israel will take the west bank and that is because Jorden does not want the Palestinians people. But other than that this is very accurate.

Upon a written peace agreement between Egypt and Israel Egypt, who owned Gaza, gave it to Israel. There was No written agreement between Egypt and Arabs "Palestinians" Gaza belongs to them.

  • Jewish population of the Arab world 1947: over a million 2020: under 100,0000 Between the river and the sea Arab population 1947: 500,000 2020: 7 million Who exactly is committing genocide and ethnic cleansing?

Palestinians are newcomers to the area. They came in the 1930s for British jobs. Their ancestral homes are in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey.

The discussion in this war is absurd. First. Israel acted selflessly to live in peace with the Palestinians in Gaza. It was more than a decade ago when Israel itself relocated thousands of individuals living in Gaza with lethal force from their homes to follow the agreement, which obligated the Palestinians in return to stop any kind of aggression towards Israel. The Palestinians had the chance to build a safe, functional, and prosperous livelihood. But the first thing the Palestinians did in return was to elect a government that enshrined the goal of destroying Israel in their constitution. The elected government followed through with its promise. Since its founding, thousands of rockets have flown into Israel. Dozens of civilians died in terrorist attacks. Millions of aid funds - intended for civilian purpose - were misused to build rockets, tunnels, and other nonsense. The crimes committed on October 7th like raping women, killing children, or kidnapping a baby, was Humus has been doing for years. Secondly. Israel behaved more humanely in this conflict than any other conceivable party in any imaginable conflict. It allowed Palestinians to work in Israel, receive medical care or even migrate into their country. During war, they warn civilians where their military is operating. They admit collateral damage and apologize for it. They saved Sinwar’s life giving him a lethal brain surgery. They treated the daughter of Haniyyas daughter for her complex disease in Israel. While Humus was building rockets and tunnels with all the foreign aid, Israel supplied their civilians with free water and electricity. The situation is clear. In no other conflict the responsibility for the suffering has been so one sided and clear - in no other conflict have the perpetrators been held accountable so weakly. The same goes for any related conflict: Hezbollah, Houthis, etc…the more peacefully you try to live with them, the more visible their genocidal intents becomes. People with voice and power who claim to reject war have the duty to unequivocally name the culprit of this war and do everything in their power to eliminate them. Everything else is responsibility for the resulting suffering and will extend it.

There's a factual error at 14:57 when it's said that "Hamas won 44% of seats in the Palestinian Legislative Council" in the 2006 election. 44% was the percentage of votes achieved by Hamas, but they won 74 of the 132 seats in the PLC (i.e., 56% of the seats).

Man these two peoples will never see eye to eye
  • @DianeMaryLiriope
Arab hatred and hostility for Israel is incomprehensible. And over the piece of land that rightly belongs to Israel, and not them.
  • @Joseph-cu8dk
Gaza is the 3,000-year city of Israel, long before Islam appeared. This is true both historically and by the British 2-State Mandate of 1948.
  • The 1987 Intifada was planned also. Between 1967 and 1986 the Arabs in the West Bank DID have autonomy - the civil service that performed under Jordanian rule continued under Israeli rule - until Arafat ordered the workers to quit their jobs. At that point Israel had to choose between leaving the Arabs without vital services or taking active control of the area. Israel made the compassionate decision to take control and Arafat used this as his excuse to order the Intifada. And of course it spread also to Gaza.

Gaza and JUDEA AND SAMARIA, cradle of Jewish civilisation was part of the League of Nations (San Remo) and ratified by legally binding internationally principles of Acquired Rights, Estoppel and Uti Possideta Juris. The illegal occupation by Jordanian invaders ENDED in 1967 liberation (also of YERUSHALAYIM, Holiest city of the Jewish people).
