man, I'm from Brazil and I really wanted to see the test of a xmaxx stock being driven in a skate park and bashing without pity, to see how durable it is, because many videos show the car but almost all of them have upgrades, or those that don't, they don't ride with that skill and without fear of breaking something. Here in my country a car like that costs a lot, A LOT!! and the video helped me decide to buy it. Thanks Kevin, for the dissemination of the material, I'm sure it helped a lot of people to demystify xmaxx in its stock out of the box condition.

Stock gearing or even 16 tooth pinion are great for all around speed bashing.. the truck is very tough. Went airborne too many times by accident and it hold up good.. But definitely needs the hardened steel spur and pinion.

I have the same color Xmaxx, but I used a blue roof protector. One thing you want to do is make sure the wires from the ESC to the motor are fully connected. Mine had some significant exposed metal threatening to short. Looks like yours has similar issue, but not as bad.

I'm mainly into vintage RC from the 80s and early 90's but every time I watch one of your video's about the Xmaxx I'm so tempted to go out and buy one of these. When is Traxxas going to hire you as their official crash and bash tester LOL...?
