More than 600 fans of The Chosen joined us to recreate one of the most significant moments in history: Jesus’ arrival to Jerusalem on the first day of Holy Week, aka “Palm Sunday.” Step into this epic scene with us and hear our cast and crew share what an emotional experience it was for them—and is going to be for you in Season 5.

P.S. Also, let us know in the comments which you prefer: the real donkey or mechanical monstrosity.

I was an extra for the first two weeks, and those ten days were without a doubt some of the best of my life. Being an extra was so much fun, and ya’ll took such good care of us. The Holy Spirit just filled the air there and it was such a wonderful experience. I sincerely hope to be back for season Six.
  • ❤i saw my dad in this clip!!! He and i were extras for the first two days...best vacation of my life!!!!!! Everyone is so kind and patient and true. Love and miss y'all!!!

I love Mitch so much. Each season I go back and he remembers my name. He’s the best and handles us all so well. Patient. Very patient 😂
  • My daughter and I were there for 3 days. What an incredible experience!! I agree. I will never look at Palm Sunday the same. ❤️ One of my favorite parts was when we all gathered in the temple to record our Hosanna song and we were told that the actors were in tears when they heard us. Mitch was awesome! Everyone was so kind. I also have a much deeper appreciation for how hard everyone works to produce this show. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤❤❤

I was there for all 3 weeks. There were 600 people each day, but many came for only 2 or 3 days, so a LOT more than 600 participated. There were actually thousands. The catering company said they served 27,000 meals.

I was an extra on Day 1 of filming! I was supposed to do Day 2 but came down with a sickness so I didn’t go. But the day I spent on set was truly something else. You could feel the reverence for what we were filming in the air. And hearing Jonathan speak a certain passage (can’t say, spoilers) definitely made me understand the passage better than I ever have reading it. There’s something about oral speaking that helps, and Jonathan’s acting elevates it to a whole new level!
  • We were extras on set for the 3rd week of filming. We’re from India, and my mom was the one who travelled all the way from India to be here on set- for the 2nd time! We’re The Chosen’s biggest fans! What a blessing it has been to participate in The Chosen these past 2 seasons! All the effort, blood, sweat and tears are always worth it. The Holy Spirit was moving in and through us all on the last day during Jonathan’s scenes with the Pharisees (also the longest scene in The Chosen’s history). We were in tears! We appreciate all the work you do and the impact it’s been having globally! Thank you! 🖤🩵 we are proud to be making history with the most incredible directors, cast, and crew! Praying for the team as season 5 filming continues!

This Mother-Daughter Duo (Gail & Audrey) had the extreme privilege to be Background Extras (for a 2nd time!) during the first two weeks of 'Extras' Season 5 filming! Being Extras was exhilarating! The atmosphere changed Daily, as the different scenes dictated mood, aire & the type of presence required. Our Ten Days on Set kept us energized & motivated to bring whatever came next. Our gathering each morning brought fellowship, community, prayer & nourishment before being given the summary of what the day ahead would bring. The Entire Crew & Staff, were available to handle whatever needs arose during that time & the ENCOURAGEMENT from the "On Set Professionals" truly launched the NOT WHAT WE WERE experience inside us to discover the tangible Walk With Fellow Believers (our Red Sea moments) that we sincerely did NOT want to end. We are prayerfully working through this "awaiting" to know our next steps into Season Six & beyond. We are grateful for the 1st Century experience that put Hands & Feet to The Gospels, well done - Dallas & Crew, Well Done!

How exciting. The extras are such a vital part of telling the story of Jesus. It makes it seem like the Bible stories come to life, step off the pages, and you feel like you were there. Thank you Dallas and everyone who works so very hard to tell the greatest story ever told. May God bless the works of your hands.❤️✝️🙏🙌
