I gotta completely agree on this, I never really liked Celestia's design either.

This is perfect on the story!! Since owls and eagles always been enemies since who knows how long, having Luna being jealous makes sense.

If we’re talking about irresponsible rulers, Celestia and Zeus make pretty good examples.

i'm not gonna lie to you Emala (and you MLP fans), but I've always thought Celestia was some sort of pony goddess of the sun until I saw the finale of season 2. talk about a major dissapointment.

I do like Celestia, even with her more playful side. That gives her so much more depth than just being the ruler who's overpowered and basically a god (somehow I'm reminded of Rick Riordan's books and the gods in them.) It also makes her more relatable and easier to contact with when she's not so high up on pedestal. Also, a good ruler doesn't need to be physically strong and strenght can also be mental. Celestia banished her SISTER to the moon for thousand years and she even said herself it was one of the hardest desicions she has ever made.

I didn’t really like Celestia’s original design either. I felt they could have done a better job. Glad she got the justo she deserved

The design is perfectly balanced between the grace of a ruler and the intimidating look of a warrior! I can't even describe it, it's just so beautiful 💖

Could you make pony designs for the zodiac signs?, with how much thougt you put on the pricess designs about their meanings it could be interesting to see with the zodiac signs

She looks as if she is part Griffin and I love it. It really brings out that protector / warrior vibe since griffins are know to guard treasures and priceless possessions probably her Kingdom is a treasure or a priceless possession in her eyes!

I think this is my new favourite. The color scheme and everything is just too perfect. Can't wait for villain redesigns!

Exactly, some of the later episodes completely shattered her wise ruler persona-

I know that in the show, the art style is simplistic and can have good designs, but I always thought that Celestia’s design was… “meh.” Mostly because I think they could’ve done something cool with her royal jewelry and I never understood her color palette. I was thinking, “Why, green, blue and pink when it could be the colors of a sunrise/sunset?” My opinions on Celestia aside, I love the ideas you gave your redesign! Especially the hawk design choice. She truly does look like both a warrior and a princess.
