Great video as always 🤟 APRS is like the original Meshtastic that radio amateurs have been playing around with since the late 80s. Worldwide network of long distance small packets used for messaging and positioning. 📡 One of the frequencies you can choose in APRS is the one from the international space station that actually has an APRS digipeater on board 🛰

There is just SO much in the HackRF with Portapack. It is really cool that you are doing these videos going over this!

LOVE this series. Don’t have a portapack yet but after the fun I’ve had with my flipper zero I think I’d love to explore the hack rf someday. This series has been great in helping me see what kind of stuff it can do to inform my decision!
  • dude i love your explanations so much, please do a deepdive into rf. Im talking 2-5hr long video, you just explain everything so freaking good! PLEASE
  • @defalt7651
Hell yea!! Just bought my hackrf because of you, coming in two weeks!

In Ham Radio we use "Fast Scan TV" which is analog TV and can be picked up by the Hack RF, and APRS is also used in Ham Radio some of our handhelds and mobiles. Should be able to pick up a ton of it unless you're in TX.

Well Mr. Sasquatch... Now I have the HackRF with the H2 Portapack

All I can think when I think of usefulness for the hackrf is how useful it would be during an apocalypse. I mean really, what if analog tv ended up being a thing during a time like that.

Rawrsome video..... I got into the project when it was a kickstarter...kinda want to get back into this and GNU radio.

Great video. Glad I stumble upon your channel. Thanks

Radiosonde is pronounced Radio Sond. Used to work on meteorological system in the US Army Artillery. We used a large dish to track them, probably gonna be rare to catch one without knowing exactly where it is and having a high gain dish. Love the video ! Thanks!
  • Thank you so much for the follow up ❤ Looking forward to the next video. I would like to see how to do all radio related features from the flipper on the portapack. I think it would make it easier to understand how it works. Plus any apps that can help with home automation (if any) would amazing 👍
  • @Tinsletooth
What I want to see is physical examples of what sets the HackRF one apart from the flipper. Maybe how to listen to trunked radio using only
  • @Gglp
For analogue TV signal try using an FPV video transmitter they broadcast on analogue frequencies

  • @MajinBoom91
Love you’re videos nice to see you in the pwn discord
  • My SD card has the mayhem updates, but the hackrf came pre-packaged with mayhem. Can't install apps, no presets on looking glass even though I'm manually putting the preset.txt onto the SD card under the looking glass folder. Any advice?
