Nvidia Reports 262% Rise in Revenue Amid AI Race | Vantage with Palki Sharma

US chip-maker Nvidia has reported a 262% increase in revenue amid surging demand for Artificial Intelligence chips. The company beat market expectations to generate $26 billion in revenue. Many analysts have called Nvidia the most important company in the world. Nvidia's performance is part of the larger chip war playing out between China and the West. Countries have announced subsidies worth $380 billion to boost their local chip-making industry and take a lead in the semiconductor race. The US has urged its allies in Europe and Asia to curb sales of advanced semiconductors to China. Palki Sharma tells you why this next stage of the chip war matters.

Yes Nvidia IPO'ed at $12, but saying the price has increased from $12 to $950 is a gross miscalculation that suggests the stock went only 79 times. The reality is stock got split multiple times and the effect IPO price due to these spilts is $0.41 thereby making the actual gain to be 2317 times from 1999 to now.
  • Please allow me to ask one question! Is it wise to purchase NVIDIA in order to beat the market this year? I'm sick of having to make new purchases every week to round out my $236k portfolio with low-percentage assets while attempting to keep everything around 10%.

Additional earnings reports from major tech companies, driven by Nvidia, coupled with trader FOMO, could fuel a resurgence in market buying pressure. I'm considering investing over $300k, but I'm uncertain about risk mitigation strategies.

She is best journalist ever i have seen her speaking skill is so good.
  • A friend of mine, chose to work for Intel over Nvidia because intel was offering $30K more then. (This is like 3 yrs back) Given that several NVIDIA employees are millionaires now, pretty sure he is heavily regretting his decision now 😂

Every nation needs to get piece of the pie chip market. This is a very lucrative market for Semiconducters in much demand. Depending on China for chips affects our industries. Finding the proper balance of the chip Msrket where every nation benefits is vital. Keep up the good work Palki

India should create a strong infrastructure for chip industry so that we don't rely to US or its allies , We should also increase investments , invest in talent and subsidise the industry so we stay at the end of race.
  • Nvidia makes all of it's most advanced chips in Taiwan, so considering the political situation, Nvidia could loose a lot of it's value if something happens!
