Octopus is the most intelligent and widely populated among the entire Ocean. There are many different types of the octopus with some are deadly for humans. They are masters of camouflaging themselves among the reef with a skin ability to mimic exact the same color and the texture of the surface.
In this video you can see the footage of 3 different octopuses of the same species, which I was fortuned to film on several dives within Lembeh Strait area. The baby, is only about 2 inches long, the mid-size octopus is about 2 feet and the Giant one, is over 4 feet in length. Aren't they amazing? Post your comments, support my channel. Thanks for watching!

It's the fact that they understand and can add texture to their skin that stands out most to me
  • I once read that an Octopus escaped it's own tank and was found in the shrimp tank (its favorite food). So the keeper decided to "punish" it by giving it an little electric shock. And then put it back in its own tank. Then they set up a camera to watch it, and it would escape, feed, and then go back in its own tank by morning! They are very smart creatures.

Me: I'm bored. My brain: Let's go see some octopuses changing colour Me: oh yh. That'll be fun
  • Imagine having that much brain power and control, to be able to touch something and turn into it... as a human.

I love how Octopods always look so suspicious of everything. With the way their pupils are so narrow, they just constantly seem to being going "Yeah? And what are you up to, ya sketchy bastard??"

Chameleon: I can change color. Octopus: Hold my ink.

Octopuses are literally the closest things to aliens that we have on this planet O.o
  • As a scuba diver, I can assure you that some octopuses are absolutely impossible to spot (at least not without a lot of experience).
  • Amazing! The octopus even managed to change colour of the ground around him from blueish to reddish. That's power!
  • @mikehawk.
The music is fine, why are people complaining

These things are the most alien creatures on this planet. Like holy crap are they ever cool. They have superhero powers, two of them, and people barely mention them unless they’re on a menu.
  • I used to eat octopus and I love it. But when I found out just how intelligent they are and so unique. I have never eaten them again. I absolutely love them now.💞

Totally amazing, would be like humans transforming into rocks, birds, cats and dogs.

I always wonder what the octopus are thinking when a human swims down and shines a flashlight on them in the middle of their disguise lmao. "Bro wtf are you doin rn fr" 3:06
  • Not only can an octopus change colour instantly like that, I also learned recently they can edit their genes, effectively re writing their DNA/RNA to adapt to their environment. Unbelievably cool.
