Mind you, most of your objections are solvable in the menu... you can ajust your squelch there. My solution was putting it down to 1. Only if you need to listen to a very week station, you press button 1. Rx starts immediately...

Excellent vidéo. Quick question: for the alpine area between Switzerland, France and Italy, if you want to be able to call the rescue, you need to program a VHF radio for the E(mergency) chanel 161.300 MHz and also to set the 5 tons ZVEI2. Do you know if these two things are possible with the Quansheng UV-K5(8)? Thanks

Very nice, you probably should do a tutorial on a custom firmware, since it makes this 5/10 radio into a 10/10 especially usability, not having to press function for everything

F3 only lets me change the channel number of a pre programmed channel set. What am I noobing wrong? Edit: F5 is frequency mode on mine, which is weird because mine is the same age as his and same region!
