  • Am I only one that thinks Dr Mike is taking these a bit too seriously? 😂 Gotta love him.
  • @brown14suga
The seriousness in which Dr. Mike takes these movies is always hilarious to me 🤣🤣
  • @PaperbackWizard
It's important to remember that the Grinch's heart was two sizes too small to begin with, so growing three sizes has the net effect of only being one size too big. Granted, that's still some pretty explosive growth.
  • "No, you cannot call pidgeons piranhas of the sky!" That line made me cackle so hard! 😂

Dear Dr. Mike, That is not a cigar, it’s a pipe. This snowman is based on the Victorian version of a snowman. They were made by children playing outside in the snowy winter. To finish it off, kids would use stuff that was readily available i.e.: pieces of coal, which would have been small lumps of coal from the kitchen stove, fireplace or furnace. Traditionally, when a snowman is finished one would use lumps of coal for the eyes and mouth, a carrot for the nose, a scarf around the neck and yes an old pipe that would have been have been used by their father when pipe smoking was more popular, available and prevalent than cigarettes. Oh yes, and top hats were the common attire at one time and so many households had a top hat lying around. Commonly a corn cob pipe was used if not, your dad’s or grandfather’s old pipe. When I was young our house was heated with a coal furnace in the cellar and we used coal in our fireplace. Branches were used as arms with the twigs at the ends representing fingers.

Fun fact. My uncle was one of the firefighters who helped the kid get his tongue off the pole in A Christmas Story.
  • @emmetstone1660
Doctor Mike getting frustrated with Frosty the Snowman is the highlight of my day
  • @ThundagaT2
Im pretty sure the grinch heart thing is meant to be a metaphor for him having a bigger "heart" as in more compassion. As was described earlier in the movie that he was so bitter that his heart was actually "two sizes too small"
  • @bri_owl
Apparently the Grinch is inspired by Seuss himself. His wife was dying of cancer and he was getting fed up with the commercialization around Christmas. That was interesting to find out!
  • @martinlauzon1971
I would like Dr Mike to discuss the potential effects on the body from an anvil repeatedly falling on a clueless coyote. We need to know!
  • @hahahehe8915
5:06 - Tim Allen’s lack of pants in this scene is in fact of vital importance leading him to wear the Santa pants 😅
  • @doll9340
8:57 Mike his heart grew because of Christmas spirit and positive emotions! Not because of exercise
  • Frosty the Snowman is not actually smoking the pipe! It's just decoration. The song specifically states "a corn cob pipe" but he is never shown lighting it and smoke never rises from it.
  • @charmallory5905
Dr Seuss’ father worked at the zoo in Forest Park, Springfield MA. He would often hang out at the zoo with his father, and was inspired by the various animals when he grew up to be the famous illustrator we know and love.
  • @pamlippert9662
I'm a major fan of A Christmas Story and in the 'extras' DVD explains how they created the tongue on pole scene. The pole had a hole in it with suction making it look like their tongue gets stuck to it. It's funny cuz it's true!
  • @josephralph7570
0:47 he’s not even wearing gloves🧤I can’t believe Dr. Mike didn’t notice that
  • @hozepheena
I love that Team Doctor Mike just included Die Hard as a Christmas movie without even addressing the controversy.
  • @hatsRcool747
The belly making a funny sound is a reference to the poem in which Santa is described having a belly like a "bowl full of jelly"
  • Am I the only one that thinks dr Mike could literally talk about anything and I’ll listen happily ❤
