The star of hit Spanish-language films as well as a magazine cover girl, Karla Souza has landed her first major English-language role, playing a law student on the series “How to Get Away with Murder.” She tells the TODAY anchors that she cried when she learned that she’d gotten the part, saving her from the “hell” of doing auditions during TV’s pilot season.

I don't like how they reduced her role as Laurel to that of Frank's romantic partner, when that is a very minor part of the plot and also not what her character is best known for. Aside from the fact that Frank is NOT a lawyer and that Laurel is definitely not shy and quiet.
