  • I dont think any genre can build hype like drum and bass, some D&B raves were so hype they were borderline dangerous.
  • RIP Skibadee, blessed to have seen him live so many times and had a picture at his birthday bash in 2012
  • you two are probably the best reactors on youtube in my opinion, this is literally like watching me and my boy vibing in the car. always pure vibing with big grins, gun fingers waving and screwfacing. two actual music heads not just another somebody just chasing the reactor gravy train for views.

Drum and Bass has been my life for almost 26yrs. I'm fully here for your journey guys.
  • @Gulam.
Imagine massive warehouses with pyrotechnics and huge speakers and packed crowds with these sounds. Everyone vibing (most high) and just raving all night long. This was the scene 25-30 years ago!
  • @Thedaveytube
This is such an epic set! Love this🔥 R.i.p to the one and only Skibadee 🙏
  • @PoppieXL
Born and raised in the States, here.. With that begin said I first discovered Drum and Bass, from when I first played Grand Thef Auto 3. There was a station called MSX FM, which was a spoof of an "underground" pirate radio station that was based in London. After playing countless hours of the game listening to it I became a huge fan of the genre.
  • Ain't no party like a DnB party! I had 20 years of raving to amazing vibes and dirty B-lines. I'm privileged to have known Skiba as a friend. RIP King
  • I remember skibba spitting this and i was 15 years old lol, im 45 now , miss those days, This is all we listened too lol
  • @tommoric376
Reminds me of being 18 and absolutely off my face in a rave 😂 good times 👌

The DNB scene is a very close scene so all these mc’s are performing at roughly 3/4 clubs a week most weeks so they all mc with each other regularly The dj’s usually mix a beat for it to drop on the mix so mc’s can usually hear the tune being mixed in so they are ready for the drop. As I said these guys perform multiple shows each week so they’ve mastered it Eksman is a veteran over 20 years of killing it and has always been a favourite of mine, his son J Mulla has started smacking up raves Skibadee has been here since the 90’s when mc’in over jungle music (early era of dnb) with Stevie Hyper D who passed in the late 90’s, skibba has also passed in recent years and I believe this was because of his sickle cell 😢 Harry Shotta is from the same town as me and done quite a few sets with him in the past (15 years ago now) he come into dnb in the early 2000’s and was part of UNCZ with Skibadee, funsta and Dreps Azza & Grima they started making it big about 7/8 years ago and have been about for about 10 years now and are called TNA (the new age) Dreps is great and has an original Flow, he was a proper road man and not one to be messed with he’s been about since early 2000’s Drum and bass isn’t really about tracks (songs recorded in the studio) but they’ve started doing it more in recent years, it’s all about life performances, dj’s mixing beats and the mc’s spitting over them Dnb raves go on every weekend and they get recorded - 1 hour sets a Dj or two and a few mc’s just having it in the club and they usually run from 10-4/6am with loads of dj’s and mc’s passing through all night It’s more about the live performances than anything!
  • I have yet to see anyone listen to shotta without a wheel up after how many years😂 ...love all the time .
  • OMFG! I thought my requests for this would be futile because of how long it is! I was laying in bed, hungover, with NO motivation to get up...as soon as I saw it pop I was dressed, out to the shop for some beers and getting a smoke on before I watch it! 😊 I KNOW YOU GONNA DIG THIS 😁
  • @probablytommy
You man laughing about the American EDM bar is hilarious and humble af :D Hope you keep the DNB rolling <3
  • @matthaze7201
You're witnessing professionals who are top of their game! DNB scene has been massive since 95' we know every drop, every ttack, MCs know the tracks coming in inside out and are ready to smash the drop! Love how you respect what the guys have been doing for decades! DNB is INFECTIOUS ❤
  • @JustJoey2017
I was raving to shabba and skiba back in the late 90’s. RIP skibz. You were and will always be a legend. Dnb all the way!! There aint a better genre of music. Love seeing Americans react to drums and base! Make some more lads!
  • Usually on radio sets, each Mc knows the rules, you get 8 bars or 16 depending on the beat. On the production side when we write DnB we usually write it with an Mc in mind or just mad skanker. The effortlessness is down to pure artistry & practice
  • I am absolutely loving watching you guys discover drum & bass! Your screwfaces are bang on point 😂
  • @shadowclone6
Ah RIP Skibba 🙏 Im in my late 30s and thats my childhood right there. Spent my teens following Skibba and Eksman etc around the clubs here in the UK. Legends. Was cool to see you guys check this kinda stuff out. Thanks for that little blast of nostalgia. Big ups from Wales UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
