"For millennia, humans have gazed into the night sky. We identified "wandering stars," spheres that didn't move in sync with the rest. These spheres became the inspiration for myths and gods, literature, art, and music. Seven of these are also part of the story of Destiny.
For untold ages the Traveler sent signals from deep in the galaxy to our solar system, signals interpreted and identified by the subconscious mind of humanity as music. Music that tells a story about worlds that have yet to be experienced, places that don't yet exist. The message of the Traveler, along with the inner harmony amongst the seven spheres themselves, has inspired what you are about to hear.
Author C.S. Lewis wrote, "Music which is too familiar to be heard enfolds us day and night and in all ages." We, the composers, are excited to present this realization of Music of the Spheres."

The Guardian vs The Witness… I want this as theme

The fact this this is called "The Union" means a lot thinking about not only the original final boss of D1 (Sol Inherent in the Black Garden), but now the new power we will wield in The Final Shape. Transcendence is a "Union" of Light and Dark in us, the Guardian. The Traveler knew what we had to do all along. God I hope this plays during the final raid. Even a snippet of this track would be so good.

The last phase of the Witness raid must be a victory lap. No strat, no wipe mechanic, just a big hp bar, a boss writhing in pain, and a hyper beam buffed party with the Union blasting.

This music feels like the destiny we never had… something deep in story and larger than life.

I love the soundtracks used in destiny 2, but this is the true sound of destiny to me; basegame to taken king, all the way to rise of iron, it was all so epic, the way the strings and brass shook you in your seat, whilst you peppered eldrich beings with gunfire, slowly chipping away at them until you found that heavy brick, or fully charged your super and unleashed the full power of the traveller apon them. That's how it feels to be a guardian and I would never change it for anything.
