A Journey to the Source of River Ganga
Gaumukh Tapovan is one of the most rewarding treks you will ever do.

► Note - I'm experienced hiker , I have completed my Basic Mountaineering Course From Nehru Institute of mountaineering , also I used to be outdoor leader with many reputed Organisation and outdoor instructors with Tata Steel Adventure Foundation . so far I have completed more then 70+ Hikes in Himalayas .

► ABOUT THIS HIKE - I did this hike on 2nd may 2024 , it was complete solo hike only few people were on the trail , best hike for those who want to see wildlife and best month to visit May - June and Sep October


Gaumukh Trek is a 42 km trek hiked over 5 days (7 days including the drive to and from the trek,) in the Greater Himalayas. It lies in the state of Uttarakhand and begins and ends at the pilgrim town of Gangotri.

camping and hiking permission is required in Gangotri National park .

    The fact that you went all the back to get your camera which you had set for the shot is commendable, as a solo trekker it is very difficult to maintain that energy throughout the trek without getting tired. Hats off to your hard work. It was a 60km trail but for you it became 70-75km. Hope your hard work pays off.❤️
