The lady in BLOOD. is symbolic of Lady Justice. She is typically portrayed as a blindfolded woman and wields two items: a scale to weigh and judge a case, and a sword to carry out the justice. The blindfold symbolizes that true justice is blind to the people involved and only weighs the case itself. In BLOOD., lady justice in a blind woman with a gun instead of the sword, and she has dropped her scale. This means that she cannot judge fairly, and thus is not just. This is why she shoots Kendrick when she tries to help her.
