Good Evening Sir, I grew up listening to Conway Twitty on radio. Back in the 70's, Western Australian Country radio stations used to play 2 hour of Country Music every Saturday morning. Although this is the first time hearing this song, it deeply reflexes my love life struggles to this day. Although divorced by my late 40's, the one lie wrecked my life as I never was fully trusted again. Without trust there is no solid foundation. Thank you for posting a great song.

This was Conway's very first country single. Sadly it didn't chart. Why, I don't understand. It's a great love song. I've got this on the 1994 box set "The Conway Twitty Collection", his second posthumous album with previously unreleased material. If you don't have that set, you've got to get it. I highly recommend it! You can buy it on Amazon or eBay.

Beautiful song, great production placing Conway in the "sweet spot" of the recording. Did you just happen to picture a Zumsteel, or did Pete Drake play one on this recording?
