I don't mean it as a criticism but the football world laughed when you said "I bet he looked after himself" ,the only thing that equaled his on field skill was his full on party animal style!
  • @lukestark3
I can always remember the first thing my dad told me about the Brazilian football team: 'they don't kick the ball, they dance with it.' This guy proved that point a hundred times over. Trailblazer.
  • @richardedgar9670
Everyone loves him because he played with a smile on his face for the pure joy of football. And he was brilliant.
  • @Sleepy_I
Ronaldinho: the player Neymar wishes he was. Absolute genius player, so enjoyable to watch.
  • @RamboSambo2350
I'm Australian and it was the early 00's Brazil team in the "joga bonito" era, which means the beautiful game or play beautiful. The way Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and Kaka played so beautifully made me love the game, the same way Michael Jordan made me love basketball
  • @coleyffc
The most entertaining player of my lifetime. He played for the fun of it, and to entertain. Some players nowadays set out to try and humiliate lesser opponents, Ronaldinho just wanted to make the fans leave with a smile as big as his own.
  • @atmanbtrue2085
"Wait, was he on the same team as Messi?" That comment made my day! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yes, yes he was, and it arguably was one of the best teams the sport has ever seen. He was kind of a mentor for Messi as well, Ronaldinho would usually give the assist to Messi when he could easily score the goal himself. It was very heartwarming to watch.
  • @danielh3668
There's a big small detail that you missed: on 6:40 those are the Real Madrid fans applauding Ronaldinho after he humiliated the Real in a Spanish clásico. That's not normal!!! I hope somebody from Spain will remember if it happened any other times, I suspect possibly with Messi and maybe Iniesta, but anyway that moment is a sign of how outstanding this guy is
  • I almost fell off my chair when you said he must really take care of himself 😂 Ronaldinho would’ve been the best player of all time if he never partied as hard as he played, but he will still go down in the halls of history as one of football’s greatest players 👍❤️ Yes, Messi and Ronaldinho did play on the same team, however Messi came up from Barcelona‘s Academy therefore Barça never paid anything for him except for Messi‘s medical bills (Messi had a growth hormone deficiency). There is a whole story behind that if you want to check it out 😉
  • @eatthisvr6
hes the most talented player ive ever seen! and he never quite fulfilled his potential!
  • @IAVAIN
I remember world cup 2002, i was 7, they allowed us to watch england vs brazil at school during dinner where ronaldinho scored a free kick from miles out knocking us out in the quarter finals. devastating
  • @sacredlive772
when u guys said he must be on a serious diet and be a real professional who lives for his sport i laughed so hard i allmost fell out of my chair. ronaldinho was famous for partying all night long with lots of alcohol, drugs and women and doing that multiple times a week. but even though he skipped practice lots of times, sometimes didnt show cause he was hungover or just kicked a few balls in the corner of the goal and went home again. cause of his lifestyle i can say this with 100% certainty, ronaldinho was, is and will ever be the single greatest football player to grace ur mortal beings with his existence for the 3 short years he exelled at barcelona.......imagine what could have been if he actually took care of himself. and yes messi and ronaldinho were on the same team, the last scene from this vid is ronaldinho giving the assist as messi scores his first goal for barca and became a mentor to messi in his growing years and well the rest is history.

You need to watch The Phenomenon, R9, the OG Ronaldo. Before the injuries he was literally unstoppable (think Messi and C. Ronaldo combined). Averaged about a goal a game in Italy (best defensive league in the world at the time) and then scored about 47 goals in 30 something games at Barcelona. Along with Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Kaka, Cafu, those Brazilian teams of the 90s/early 00s were stacked. For Barcelona, Messi was trained in the academy. All it cost them to get Messi was the price of hormone injections when he was a kid. But yeah, Barcelona have been a big club for a long time, and absolutely dominated European football around 2010 from both amazing players (many home grown) and a beautiful style of play. You literally couldn’t get the ball back once they got it.
  • @briansmith7394
When you guys started to smile and laugh, it reminded me of doing the same thing when I was younger. Imagine thousands of fans in the stadium reacting the same way. He exudes what football is, pure joy.
  • @jokervienna6433
He did his stuff against world top soccer players that REALLY wanted to stop him. He left many of them standing like fooled kids. Insanely good and a pure joy to watch!
  • The man who always played with a smile on his face. Insane talent and a joy to watch.
  • @user-px3oh1fk6b
There will never be anyone like Ronaldihno again! I mean, he had fun out on the field, dancing as he were a kid at Copacabana . Just having fun with his best friend, the football!
  • @samalk5742
14:55 - like a curveball in baseball, just caught everybody in that line of scrimmage off guard. Exactly the content I want from Americans react!
  • @dI9ESTIVES123
I would recommend Ronaldo Phenomeno A living Legend. The greatest striker ever. Or R9 vs R10. A comparison between Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Phenomeno.
  • @MyBigMouth
Guy is a legend, he was offered a contract by Man United and turned it down, two days later he was playing a friendly with Barcelona at Man City (to open the City Of Manchester Stadium, now known as the Etihad), and the reception he recieved was immense.
