You only need shears for the small drip leaf. Big you can break & keep with your hand. Also, both just need to be placed on moss to be planted. Also, if you take an amethyst bud off too soon, it will continue to grow if you put it back on any of the budding❤ blocks. Also, in your shaders mod, there is a setting that lets you see anywhere the light level is low enough to alow spawns. 😢 will give you the option to hold a spider eye, or you can change that to just holding any light source which is much more convenient. It’s great because then as you are torching up an area, you can automatically see where you still need to add light.
