This is from a Fairly Oddparents short that aired in 1999. It was Tootie's first appearance, and Vicky was nice to her in it.

The idea of Vicky being the mean type of babysitter but still somewhat chill and an overprotective big sis would've been better than her just being straight up evil for no reason.

Dang, it’s kinda sad that Vicky would go from being chill and overprotective of Tootie to just outright being mean to her.

Honestly, I would have dug this character dynamic more. It would have been a cool contrast, seeing Vicky being the cartoonishly malicious babysitter to the kids in her neighborhood, but being the overprotective cool big sis to Tootie. Maybe even taking advantage of the fact that her little sister is considered annoying/creepy to the rest of the kids in her school to her advantage by using her to torture the kids she babysits by making them be friends with her. That would have been both despicable and hilarious.
  • -Cosmo with his orginal voice -Cosmo being street smart (not an idiot), and Wanda being book smart dynamic -Cosmo and Wanda having healthy relationship -Vicky being nice to Toodie only -Toodie being more integral to the plot... ..... All glems on left on the chopping room floor.. sad to see

I kinda wish they'd kept the idea of Vicky being nice to Tootie. It'd be funny seeing Vicky acting all malicious and fearsome with others but then act more chill with Tootie at the same time. She could've used Tootie's crush on Timmy against him too. 😂😂

Something about Vicky actually caring about Tootie but still uses her as a torture for Timmy is pretty funny to me

I gotta agree with the general consensus that Vicky being nice to Tootie but the spawn of Satan with everyone else would’ve made for some interesting storylines in many episodes

Flanderization hit Vicky real bad. It would have been more interesting to see her be nice to Tootie rather than her being downright abusive. She went from a being a mean teenager to becoming the anti-christ.

Vicky is nice to Tootie The other kids are mean to Tootie So Vicky is mean to the other kids That would have been such a cool dynamic

The serious would've been a lot better if Vicky stayed like this tbh. Like, imagine the twist about knowing that the meanest baby sister ever is actually protective with her own little sister. Throw a little backstory of kids bullying Tootie for no reason making Vicky hate on all of them because of that.

I do love the "even evil has loved ones" trope.
  • As much as i like 'pure evil' Vicky, the pilot version of Vicky just feels more fleshed out. She isn't mean to her sister, but is a monster to all the kids she babysits, but at the same time takes advantage of how people find her little sister annoying or creepy

Honestly this is a great balance for Vicky's characters. She's nice to her little sister and uses her to torment Timmy
  • She’s probably just like “no one scares my family but ME!” And “oh, this will really scare the twerp.”
  • @Moundshroud.
This reinforces my idea that the original shorts were better than what we ended up with.

She went from respecting her sister to flushing her head in the toilet during her birthday

Imagine if they kept all the characters as they started out, Cosmo not being a moron, Timmy's parents genuinely caring for him, just being busy to give him the best and Vicky being protective of Tootie and not wanting Timmy's antics to harm her in any way. Too bad they flanderized them all beyond recognition

If I remember correctly, Vicky was also fiercely protective of Tootie in the comics. I remember a comic where Timmy was dismissive of Tootie, and Bicky responded by going on a warpath.

This show would’ve aged so much better if they stuck with the pilot interpretation of the characters

I remember an episode where Vicky was afraid of getting in trouble with her parents. But the Channel Chasers movie reveals they are afraid of her. So another bad retcon
