Me: “Don’t kill me, I’ll do anything!” Rich man: “Take out human sized cockroaches for the sake of humanity” Me: “….. on second thought, the electric chair sounds nice”

1:39 “and a professional terrorist” never thought I’d hear such words lmao

He missed something here. At the end, one of the super roaches holds out his arms as they fly away. This was actually to save them. The main character spared its life when he had an opportunity to kill it, and it remembered that, choosing to spare them as well by allowing them to leave. Edit: to clarify, he held out his arms to stop others from going after the ship

The one factor that could of finished this entire movie within minutes is if they brought a slipper with them. I've seen my grandma slaughter countless bugs with that so inviting her to the team would've brought them to an instant victory.

This one is oddly science heavy, I've learnt a lot of new things today.
  • so not only did this guy explain a way to bring back life on mars, made his own team, but also explained the whole movie in the progress
  • @evilejxd3385
These roaches vs the Baki universe would be crazy

"If you were stranded in another planet and hunted down by an army of mutant cockroaches, what would you do?" Die. I'd die.
  • @PersonHumanGuy
The thing is, cockroaches evolve really fast because they go through generations so fast. Fast evolution is just as much a boon as it is a curse. Insecticides and bug bomb adaptation is only temporary and can be bred out of if you stop bombing for a period of time. Eventually, they'll outgrow the adaptation and become weak to it again.
  • The issue here is that this is an adaptation of a long manga, and many things are changed so not everything makes sense. Also, the original manga didn't make that much sense but whatever. If you're curious there's the manga and an anime that covers part of the story
  • @HelloThere.....
One major thing you're forgetting here when extrapolating the strength of the bugs abilities when human size is that the only reason that bugs have such high strength to weight ratio is BECAUSE they're small. Once they get larger the inverse square law says they will fall apart or be very weak. Given this, it would be necessary for the creatures to develop both stronger musculatures and some form of a skeleton. This would make them be more like mammals and would take away lots of their abilities.
  • @Junkward
The entire movie is basically: Giga Chad Roaches that got stronger in Mars for 500Years vs Criminals that can become a stronger insects
  • It can't be said enough that the actors must have been super committed to do this with a strait face on, that's Japanese professionalism for you
  • @TJSnow-mh1qz
In the anime, they can change into creature’s other than insects. One can change into a Huntsman Spider. The main character into a bag worm moth and then there’s some who can change into birds and mammals.

never thought a day in my life id see the day a person calculates how to professionally beef with roaches
  • @enniusdrusus867
I heard the cockroaches' face design was based off a caricaturized version of a person the mangaka hated a lot.
  • Okay at this point we gotta compile cinema summaries' weaknesses. This man is the ultimate survival scenario, we need a rival youtuber to explain how to beat him!
  • You said that the dragonfly would act as a sniper or a scout to let the others know that the terraformers were coming, but you forget how fast these bugs are, and how slow our communication is spoken and processed compared to how fast they move in all honesty I think if they all would’ve went with bulldog ants or bullet ants they would’ve had a chance to survival
