Shulgin actually had a DEA licensed lab that allowed him to synthesize basically whatever the hell he wanted to, even if it was Schedule I. It led to some amazing creations.

PIHKAL is goated with the sauce. Also glassblower here 1. Try evenly heating the vial until you start to see orange flames coming off of it, and keep heating for a few seconds. (IT IS IMPORTANT YOU HEAT ALL OF THE SIDES.) 2. After the glass is naturally slumping (think weakened) you can then lightly, and steadily, pull the end of the glass to get a longer stretched tube. 3. From there, heat the stretched part until it collapses on itself, then hold the flame to the end to create a solid seal. Try a hotter torch too, those suck ass for borosilicate. We use Oxy+Propane to do it.

Similar concept and a fun video: that Hamilton Morris guy spent a day with an old man in a sexy Satan costume cooked up a batch of meth, stopping just short of the final step. I was amused by how much that guy seems to just really enjoy making meth.
