This is the story of a formerly unknown Rocket League Freestyler whose impossible shot went viral and gained over 8 million views in just 4 days. In this video I will breakdown how Tool Assisted Speedrunning (or Tool Assisted Shots) has helped players like Nape shatter the skill ceiling and take Rocket League places it has never gone before.

Thank you very much for letting me be in this video, I hope to do more tas shots like this soon
  • @nulltm8211
You gotta love the trackmania example for tas to see how ridiculous it truly is…
  • @yummy_slippers471
"Those rocks must be paid actors" this made me laugh unreasonably hard
  • @BalancedWaffle
Glad I got to see behind the scenes for that shot, truly amazing what people can achieve through dedication and patience. Rocket League is one hell of a game 😆
  • @MBaderson
That run was awesome to see not just because it was a really good use of TAS but using the ever evolving map as part of your play really made me go "Hang on..."
  • @gtrzmbe9390
As long as people remain honest when using TAS and uploading clips, more power to them.

5:40 As a longtime viewer of different TAS content, this final shot show how well it's used there. TASer's usually go bonkers when possible, famous one is the autoscroller from Mario, really loved to see the creativity there, showing stuff that may have 0.000001 odds
  • @ItIsSasha
This is super cool! I don't play much Rocket League as it's not my type of game, but I love seeing this cool time in the community. I hope this develops further because the clips I've seen are super entertaining
  • @MissMachoTV
I'm generally not a fan of TAS in terms of a clip to show off since I would rather watch someone like Evample show me possibilities in actual gameplay, but those combo player shots are actually pretty cool. The switching back and forth one in particular was interesting to watch since you could see the play style change.

i’ve been watching napes content for months now. he’s taking tas to the next level
  • @diemyfriend
If you don't appreciate effort, you don't deserve that others appreciate your effort. No discussion needed. On the other hand, what you find beautiful or entertaining is solely your thing.
  • @sajsalem5230
I’ve been subbed to nape for a while and I’m glad to see that he has gained the recognition he deserves and I hope to see the tas community grow and continue to make crazier and crazier shots
  • @swagmanjay.
i actually dont think that some of the people going ???? isn't because they don't understand it isn't tas, but how incredible the entire sequence is that its leaving us all speechless
  • @richiegrails
this video was great mister sledge, and thank you so so so much for including the discord server i have made in the description <3
  • 5:42 that’s was a welcome surprise as someone part of the trackmania community to be mentioned in a rocket league video
  • @Olorin_e
Good luck for the last push to 300k, you really deserve it, I’m always glad when you upload because I know it’s going to be a banger video just like this one 🔥
  • @charpool169
If your new to TAS but interested I'd definitely recommend watching some of the CGDQ TAS runs of different games to see some of the craziest/coolest things that can be done with the tool and a team of talented people.

This is utterly insane, my mind is fucking gone. Whoever doesn't find TAS impressive either don't understand or are jealous, this is nuts the size of planets
