Thanks for the video as always! I can't wait to try a Dwarf army. Going through what I already have, it looks like I'm close to 5000 pts but probably half of those are slayers (AOS models). I really need to sit down and start making some lists as the group I play with usually plays 1250, 1500, or 1999. Someone with more experience than I pushed for the 1999 to keep the amount of big dragons down to one I think. I hope we get the Dwarf release before AOS 4 drops but I'm not optimistic for it. :(
  • Agree that three big blocks, some missile troops and a couple of war machines plus gyros is a nice sort of dwarf army that feels good and traditional. Having to go to 2500 points to get it is perhaps a bit of a negative, I can see the appeal but it seems to go against the way the game has started off. Would be interesting to know more about how you would intend to play some of the units with regard to unit size. 15 seems a bit awkward for the quarrelers (perhaps too many to all shoot and you may not be wanting to 'linehammer' especially with you saying you want to push the big blocks forward). Frontage is interesting for the blocks though drilled of course allows flexibility, but the new rules about who can attack, rank bonuses etc do perhaps mean this needs thinking about quite a bit. No bsb and no rangers seem like unusual choices that you could tell us your thoughts on. Think most people would want the combat res and other benefits from the former as it seems like one of the few things dwarfs are good for and the improved statline and flexibility of the latter holds quite a lot of appeal both for being good and for being fun.
