Saw him live twice. Within a couple of years of his death. Each time he sat for hours in the lobby giving autographs and taking selfies until the crowd was done. Truly appreciated his fans.

I worked several times with John. Hysterical, and a true sweet and generous man. Always tipped his openers (one of about three comics in 20 years on the road who did) and would buy trays of shots for staff after the show. Miss him. RIP, John.

The delivery on "you eat like free willy" was just pure gold. The man was a legend. RIP
  • As sad as I am that he's gone, I take some solace in the fact he never knew a world with no buffets or restaurants. Thank you John.
  • Far and away one of the most talented comedians ever. His ability to do multiple authentic accents, his expressions, singing skills and impersonations never cease to amaze. All done seamlessly!

John is the only comedian who can make me laugh til my gut hurt and not one over the top vulgar story.  What a talent such a shame.  RIP John!
  • He tells jokes not like a comedian, but like a good friend, I've never had the pleasure of seeing his shows live, but I imagine they were incredible.
  • @soilsurvivor
Met him after show at Caroline's in NYC, 15-ish years ago. In person, one of the kindest you'll ever meet.

He was so happy in almost all of his shows. I don't think I ever saw him sad. RIP my friend. Truly one of the best.

“He was rude though, he came out every hour” such a great line

All John ever talked about was food but I could listen to his routines all day, every day. John Pinette made food funny! 😂

Best Buffet routine I've ever heard. Sad to hear he died.
  • The foreign accents were pure gold mines for his routine. A true entertainer.
  • @PureBlood42
The absolute most underrated, under-credited comedian of the past 100 yrs. God rest his soul. This guy could pull you out of deep depression.

I was lucky enough to see him once. I’ve never laughed so hard at a comedian in my life. His delivery, his mannerisms, just his joking, jovial personality on stage. Everyone was literally howling from start to finish. Such an amazing talent. Wish he was still here making us laugh. RIP

I like how he "translates" what the japanese guy says. Brilliant.
  • As an Indian I can confirm that's exactly what Indian wedding music sounds like 😂🤣🤣
  • I met him and shook his hand. I humbly asked him if he would autograph my CD that I brought From his first stand up CD. " To Dave . You go now " John Pinette
