Tech case, desk caddy, and a sling... IN ONE?!

Yes, you read it right! The Alpaka Vertex Pouches are here, and I'm a big fan!

The Vertex Pouch is designed for you to have better access to your gear, not only that, you'll also be able to see them as this tech pouch has an accordion-style opening. What we like about this is that it stands by itself and it can also carry lots of your gear. Well, a decent amount of stuff, not the ultra-bulky ones. You'll know why once you watch our full video!

To learn more about our honest thoughts about the Alpaka Vertex Pouches, watch our video for an in-depth review!

Let's help the community by leaving a comment down below with your thoughts about this tech pouch. Would you like to carry this around in sling mode? Is the capacity too small for you? And if you already have it, how is it so far? We'd love to hear from you!

I purchased this on their kickstarter and I am so happy to see a review. I think I will be quite happy with it. I just recently brought Alpaka’s element max sling and absolutely love it. That strap that comes with it also looks so much more comfortable then the first one you showed. Cannot wait for it to get here!! Awesome video!!
  • @sashinger5230
Alpaka is really killing it lately. Got me the Go Sling Nano and the Hub Pouch. Excellent stuff!
  • @andyp7787
Thanks for your review of this. It was very well done and thorough. It helps me to make a decision on this particular bag.
  • @mykeljewell
I think a big alternative (not a sling but a great desk caddy/pouch) is the evergoods cap2. Even has a similar floating shelf that moves to accommodate larger items. Worth a look if you’re into this form factor.
  • Thank you for the video Aaron - I backed it early, im planning to use it with my sony xm5, so pretty spot on for me. I look at this as a desk caddy FIRST...the sling component is a way of carrying it from one desk to another - in that perspective this thing makes a lot more sense.

Hey Nomad Nation & Team.! Great updates & alternatives. Cheers from Australia.
  • @thatguyjonny2982
This is definitely a consideration for my next sling purchase, thanks for the recommendation!
  • @Lygon_
This is a pretty innovative desk caddy/sling hybrid, good on Alpaka. Bought myself a Metro Sling and Tech Case just yesterday, would be super keen to see your reviews on those.
  • @David-er7tk
Excellent video Aaron. I have the same headphones and have not found one travel case (headphones and tech-no sling) to take in my backpack. This may work. Any other suggestions?? Headphone case? David
  • @UndisputedSol
This is almost perfect. Agreed on the capacity being just a bit small, I would love to see a version that fits a Steam Deck or the XM5s comfortably that would be a dream.
  • @MikeAntelo
Hey Aaron love the vid and all your vids. I’m really thinking of getting this, I have the alpaca tech case and tech case max. But I like to throw them in my Chrome Kadet sling. I’ve never seen a review where anyone puts this case in a sling or backpack. Any thoughts on the fit? Thanks! Can’t wait to see your new backpack!
  • @luzziby
I bought this through their Kickstarter and I am really impressed with this tech pouch. In fact I am building my personal travel item around this pouch. It holds the Sennheiser Momentum 4's perfectly and all my cables and international power adapters. I did have the same opinion about the handle being a little over built but with battery packs and ANC headphones the weight of the pouch is up there, so maybe it is necessary.
  • @neiyalight1478
Really helpful video. Planning to get one with aer city pack pro backpack. Wanna check if this pouch fit a logitech mx master 3s, typical rectangular brick laptop charger and sony wh1000xm4 headphone with 2 portable charger and some charging cables? Thanks in advance!
  • @roseforeuropa
That dual access to the "wires pouch" is quite genius. It's just like the Evergoods Civic 2L Access pouch, which I think I would have added to the recommended section at the end. In the end, it's quite bulky for me and I prefer to keep my headphones in a separate, dedicated hard case, with a much smaller pouch for smaller things. Great video as always.
  • @babbittini9109
Looking for better holder for my AirPod max headphones. Any suggestions? Would this work? I use them every time I fly.
  • @lumilikha
Would a Fujifilm X-S20 fit in the space where the Sony 1000-XM5 was?
  • @BoricuaFez
Really like the product in compare to Evergoods CIVIC Access Pouch 2L. Also, I wonder is the padded trap could work on the Alpaka Go Sling Nano?
  • @jwbphotography
Hey Aaron! Not sure if you have one of these handy or not, I've been trying to figure out if this bag can hold a 9" PGYtech tripod I use for my Ace Pro action Cam. If so, I'm buying it. It seems it can, based on the dimensions listed on the site but just wasn't sure!
  • @caseylee4097
Great review as usual! Curious why you didn't mention Evergoods CAP2 as an alternative?
