Thank you for posting this video. I'm just beginning and also like to make as many of the tools I'm going to use too. I like how you went through making the plyers. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

I'm a on and off amature silversmith, as in I played with it in High school then again about the turn of the century but now I'm older and disabled so I'm back again, for the hobby relaxes me. Thank you for the fun of the chain I've always made my own even if the machine made at times were cheaper and of course faster. I'm a new scribe to your channel. Once again I thank you.

I am not a jeweler by trade, I am a master plumber. We use the same type of angles and soldering tools in brazing and welding of pipes and fittings. Jewelery is smaller and finer, the results can be as pleasing. My parents placed a basement under their house after the home was built. The main sewer pipe was replaced with copper pipe and bronze fittings. It was brazed and polished to a high luster and lacquered to keep the shine. Its still just as shiny as the day I installed it. I made a chain using your video's soldering each link with sterling soldering paste and sterling wire. I made a 122 gram foxtail necklace. Its beautiful and I love wearing it. I want to thank you for your informative video's!!

Just came across your videos. I like the style. And I am a great fan of fuddling with making your own tools or modifying those from the local hardware shop. And true, the experimentation is half the fun. Ha' en god weekend. Kofod, Borneo

That's so smart and simple using paper to add more width to a mandrel!

Wow! It's fascinating to see you make the links from wire you've drawn yourself (I think "drawn" is correct terminology?) and then put together into a chain. You're very skilled. I don't have enough patience for chainmaille but I do enjoy watching the tutorials and enjoy making wire wrap jewelry. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    Офигенно красиво! Спасибо!
  • I love your home made draw plate crank system you made! I’ve been thinking of making one myself but was probably way overthinking and over engineering what I really need. Thanks for the inspiration!
