This was an online performance only as it was during the big shutdown.

I'm in Dallas and traveled up to Minneapolis to see them. They are unbelievable! Moshing is actively discouraged by the band. They have great crowd interactions during the breaks and are extremely funny.

When they were in the US the GA tickets were around 30. The VIP tickets were 100+

Thanks for the reaction and comments. The juxtaposition of songs on the opposite ends of the style/BPM spectrum showcases their dynamic range and diversity of sound. These ladies are arguably the best live rock band on the planet. They have no limits when it comes to their creativity and imagination. I suspect that Kanami (lead guitar) being a classically trained pianist spilled over into her fingering style when playing the guitar.

"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!" - Miku Kobato.

Here you go @Fables Folly Members: Saiki: vocals Miku: rhythm guitar, vocals, founder Kanami: lead guitar MISA: bass Akane: drums Band formed 2013 🕊🕊🕊

"Po" is a Japanese onomatopoeia of a Pigeon sound, fully said "Cruppo." We in the US (West) would say coo. Simply, Miku Kobato's (Rhythm G, 2nd V, main lyricist, Head Pigeon), last name is translated to small dove or pigeon. Hence, everything "Pigeon" persona = Miku, Po! 🦍🍌

Roger is the man, doing the real work getting both Band Maid and small channels recognized.

Band-Maids Genre is Band-Maid. Rock, Metal, Pop, Alt, Prog, Punk, with Jazz and Blues for sprinkles. Different is another song they wrote for an anime. Miku Kobato: Red rose, Rhythm guitar and backup vocals. Started the band. Started guitar when the first 4 members decided she shouldn't sing lead. She found Kanami Tono: Lead guitarist, main composer. She worked with and is friends with Akane Hirose: Drummer extraordinaire. Akane attended the Tokyo School of music and did some work with MISA: Bad ass barefoot bass assassin. She likes her whisky! Together these four played a few sets before they decided they needed a stronger singer. Enter Saiki Atsumi: The Queen. Together they have around 125 songs and just celebrated 10 years together. If you want harder, try Different or Rinne. About Us is a ballad written for the fans during covid, Endless Story closes out a lot of shows. just look at anything! Have fun.

Any Maids serving (as they call their songs) ROCKS!!! The ladies are in their early 30s now and have been rocking for almost 10 years. Try Thrill the track that blew them up on the world stage (the label was about let them go when this happened in 2015), Freedom, Onset, From now on, Hate? Are all great tracks and they have an extensive back catalogue of over 100 tracks Welcome Princes and Princesses to the 5 Band-Maid members: SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. The youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock front women... or front men! MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku), "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals and lyricist. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR Spokes Pigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. She couldn’t play when she formed the band and was tutored by Kanami. KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want is more! AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa), "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!

Band maid is one of the best hard rock bands. This video is actually from a live streamed performance they did during covid, so no audience except those of us watching the stream that day, I did see it live when it happened so I have the entire concert on video though not something I can post. I have also seen them live, which is an amazing show and more amazing is they really play that good, live. They have well over 100 songs, all of them are good.
  • @lurkmerchant
That's the rhythm guitarist hammering rapidly in the intro of Blackhole. Side note: there's no such thing as moshpit in Japan at proper concerts, they've toured in US last year, the year before, and couple of times before that as well. From 2022 to 2023, they appeared in few major rock festivals such as aftershock, welcome to rockville, lollapalooza, pointfest and sonic temple art and music festival. They opened for Guns and Roses when they toured to Japan in 2022 and recenly collaborated with Mike Einziger of Incubus. So I can see them touring in USA again maybe next year?
  • Should check out the Band-Maid songs "Rock in Me", "Time" and/or "Sayonakidori" (Either the regular Hard driving version or the more Ballid like Accoustic version) to Hear Miku the rhythm guitarist and Backing/Secondary vocalist take on lead vocals duties. After that you can check out her side project Cluppo which is more Pop-rock.

Enjoying your reactions to our remarkable Maids. Excellence shine through every time. You’re heard 5 songs and everyone has been completely different than the last. They are their own genre. Want to keep the different streak going? How about an Instrumental? - “From Now On” - OMV A Lot more of those “robot fingers” to enjoy! Band-Maid Members (Simple Version) - Miku (ME-coo), 32 - Rhythm Guitar, Second Vocals, Founder, Pigeon, Primary Lyricist, Red Flower 🌺 Chief Spokesperson, PO!! - Misa (ME-sah), 31 - Bass, Barefoot Assassin - Akane (AH-kah-nay), 34 - Drums, Gorilla - Kanami (Kah-NAM-e), 32 - Lead Guitar, Princess, Primary Music Composer - Saiki (Psyche), 30 - Vocals, The Ice Queen, Quality Control, secondary lyricist, Blue flower 💎 Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🌏🎸🥁🎤🎼😎✌🏼

Saw them in 2022, fantastic live performers! I highly recommend catching them the next time they come to the states And to comment on the pricing; it was around $50 when I saw them. But it'll probably be a bit more when they come back
