How does diplomacy positively impact our daily lives? In what ways can many people today find that diplomacy, and what kind of promises for the future does it hold? Tayo Rockson is a powerful orator with a dream of bringing students, young professionals, and people all around the world the idea of diplomacy. Being the son of a diplomat, Rockson's experiences are powerful and observant, drawing connections between self-introspection and exterior socialization.

Tayo is the CEO of UYD Management, a strategic leadership and consulting firm that helps corporations improve their bottom line by incorporating diversity, inclusion, and social justice strategies. Tayo has spent over 20 years living and working in 4 continents. As a cross-cultural expert, he has spoken at the World Bank, United Nations Foundation among several other places. His work has been seen on NowThis News, Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, and other notable
sources.

  • Understanding the differences around you, then finding the commonalities around them is art of diplomacy. Embrace art of diplomacy 1. Get knowledge - To collect information - Observe things around you - what makes people feel good and what makes people feel sad. Can be a game. Coming together for a common goal. 2. By being an active listener - Establish mutual trust to foster a positive collaboration - learn how to listen to obtain info. Goal is to understand. 3. Become an active member of community - widens your perspective and able to approach problem with better perspective Learn culture competence skill World is bigger than you. If you want to win at it. You need to understand it.

Tayo spoke to my summer internship class at Moody’s Corporation in 2016–it’s great to see him across LinkedIn and YouTube spreading a message, posing questions.
