Hey... I know why you're here. Believe me, I get it. Stay Strong.

I think we can all agree that this song has one of the best instrumental bits out there.

I love how he rhymes "betrayal" with "the nail" in this song. We need more creative rhyming and wordplay in rock music, like they have in hip-hop.

LYRICS: Hold it together, birds of a feather, Nothing but lies and crooked wings. I have the answer, spreading the cancer, You are the faith inside me. No, don't Leave me to die here, Help me survive here. Alone, don't remember, remember. [Chorus] Put me to sleep evil angel. Open your wings evil angel. A-ah. I'm a believer, Nothing could be worse, All these imaginary friends. Hiding betrayal, Driving the nail, Hoping to find a savior. No, don't Leave me to die here, Help me survive here. Alone, don't Surrender, surrender. [Chorus] Put me to sleep evil angel. Open your wings evil angel. Oh. Fly over me evil angel. Why can't I breathe evil angel? [Chorus] Put me to sleep evil angel. Open your wings evil angel.   Oh. Fly over me evil angel. Why can't I breathe evil angel?

I dont know what the true meaning of this song is but to me its about a man who chooses to stay in a toxic relationship than to face the fear of being alone. Its beautiful and sad at the same time. He succumbs to the evil angel and becomes consumed by the darkness

When the final chorus comes on, sing the chorus to My Last Serenade by Killswitch Engage over it. It kind of works.
  • Ben has great writing! His lyrics are like poetry and the band meshes so well!
