Since water always finds the easiest way around blockages, that's how we need to move through our lives. Act like water. Let life happen. Follow the flow. Your gonna have a sweet time chasing all your dreams. This is your time. Enjoy the ride. This movie is all about giving people a totally unexpected event-a creative surprise.

At a certain point, the stepfather to the lead actress says, “For some people, feeling pain isn’t an option.” I realized the same thing a long time ago, and it has helped me not be angry, bitter or hurt. As a culture, Americans are generally grief-illiterate. When we lost our son five years ago, we also lost most of our friends and even family because people avoided us - it made them uncomfortable to be around us, and so they chose not to be. That one line above is profound. Someday, someone in your life will experience the loss of a loved one. Please, be there for them - not just the week after, but especially 3, 4, or 5 months afterward. Call them, ask them how they are doing, invite them for coffee - you never know how much it may mean to them.
  • I married my best friend 14 plus years ago. We were both virgins and saved ourselves for each other. We didn’t kiss until after 5 years of being best friends. I love our story because it was perfect for us!

Never never allow a man to put you through uncertainty . Or it will make you look like the crazy one. See how suttle and uncaring he was. It makes her question herself!!! Never never be with a man like this .Look at how unhappy he made her!!! No one’s feelings should go up and down like this!
  • I was in the mood for some silly trashy Hallmark fluff and this was so much more. Surprisingly insightful in places, great sound and an ending!!! Thank you.

She did right by ditching 'the narc'. She knew it from the start in her gut that he was a player! Women should listen more to their intuition, no matter what other people say or see, because they are just by-standers while You ARE, the main role in your own movie called 'Life'! .... Once he knew he got her heart, he changed his character. This is what happens a lot in real life, too. So this movie was very authentic. Glad she got back with her 'old best friend.' Also, if you don't like yourself anymore and aren't happy in your own skin with the one you're with, then he is the wrong person. Jeff did a lot of 'bread-crumbing' and 'future-faking'! .... He was all show and not real. The therapist was hilarious! Loved her! ♥
  • love this movie! wow, what a smooth operator he was. I am glad , she saw through it and realised she loved herself enough not to go through with it. you need to best friends before being in love, best friends make the best couples. something i learnt. never fall for flattery no matter great it seems. will watch again.
  • This has definitely become my comfort movie.. I’ve watched it over ten times and it still gives me the same emotional reaction as I did the first time I did. Low key feels like it describes my personality towards love and life. I really enjoy this movie.

My husband and I have been together forever and we are still like this. He still does crazy stuff in the store to make me laugh and leaves me wildly crazy voicemails. And I am still head over heels for his crazy self. My best friend in the world. My go to.

A journey to love oneself is the best love story ever, so much more relatable than a billion romances out there
  • Very good movie, showing the importance of feeling the feelings, facing fears, accepting reality, dealing with childhood trauma and grief. Let’s not forget out the pessimist can trigger those issues and a heart that needs to be healed. The actors were awesome, the therapist funny.

The ending where she tells Jeff everything was EPIC! Truly amazing, and the fact that they captured the true meaning of being controlled by a narcissist ❤, her words “ me feeling something or voicing my opinion and concerns, do not make me insecure “ EPIC. I can so relate ❤

I like what they did with this movie. It shows that it's okay to feel things. It also shows how trauma can effect someone in ways we wouldn't imagine. My only gripe with the movie is the ending. I think Genie needed to take time to be with herself and her feelings and not rush into a new relationship. I get that they are best friends and love each other, but I think having some time to reflect on and understand her feelings would make a big difference. Often times, we live in the future, wondering what our life will be like, who we'll marry, how many kids we'll have, but it's important to stay in the present and understand what is going on.
  • Wow...im completely flashed by this movie - it SURPRISE(d) ME! I havent been able to keep interest in any movie lately, i watched her healing journey glued to the screen. The therapist is amazing and her friend too, for calling her out. its also great to see some normal people with flaws, each character had their own and thats great 👏

Great movie! I was impressed at how it remained lighthearted while at the same time addressed common struggles with food and relationships that so many women endure. Thank you!

This is a very nice movie. (Also spoiler forward) The way Jeff was behaving afterwards pointed to him being a narcissist. He also acted like the issues were with her, gaslighting her. Typical of narcissist! One line that her friend said to her really clicked 'This is who you are with Jeff." making her realise how she was so much in pain in that toxic relationship and that love isn't supposed to be like this.

I have always believed that love can't have be found throughout those ridiculous dates and faking flattering...etc, but naturally and unexpectedly, a friendship that turns into love is amazing and strong. Highly recommend this movie. And her laugh is amazing.
  • If only the traumas of life and love could be so easily be understood in the time it takes to watch a film. Wasn't sure if I liked this in the beginning but am glad I stuck it out to the sweet twist at the end.

Ding! ding! ding!....and all the red flags came up. Wow! This film was not only extremely entertaining for me but it clearly showed me the true colours of a narcissist and gaslighter, Jeff, in a relationship. Omg! I've just graduated from the school of life! Congratulations Cid! You're never gonna fail on this one again🎊🎉
