We are doing this due to the release of the new Bad Boys Ride Or Die movie, but our review for that comes later this week. For now, we look at the 1995 classic starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and we give you our thoughts on everything from the action to the performances. What do you think of Bad Boys? Bad Boys is a great example of how "90's movies just feel different" or "they don't make 'em like they used to". The pace, the banter and actually decent ad lib. @23:57 Téa Leoni contributed to the degradation of my VHS copy...ngl

At The Time Martin Lawrence was at his Prime with not Only his Show but his Run as the Host of Def Comedy Jam.

I think Bad Boys is one of the most consistent 90s franchises. Each film is a gem in it's own way
  • @brettthomas6327
Bad Boys 95 is one of the greatest movies ever, no lie, great comedy and action. Martin one of the greatest comedians and Will a goat hate or love it
  • @sadetwizelve
Bad Boys is an underrated action series! Especially BB2,that freeway chase is my favorite chase ever.
  • Oh, the days when Martin Lawrence could get top billing over Will Smith
  • @roidjones
Bad Boys 1 is the best, true lightning in a bottle

Bad Boys 2 is amazing. That movie was a fever dream for me. I saw the first when I was 15 and loved it. The second one was an epic big budget action masterpiece.

BTW, the original first movie has the best orchestral music by Mark Mancina before he did Tarzan by Disney in 1999 4 years later. Martin and Will are such a delight together in action and comedy since Lethal Weapon franchise. Great review, guys. 😊

One thing that you guys didn't mention is the score by Mark Mancina. Still sounds so badass to this day.

When talking about this film's style, it's important to note how much Bay was riffing on Tony Scott. Look at Beverly Hills Cop 2, directed by Scott and produced by also by Simpson and Bruckheimer and it's so obvious how much Bay must have looked at that film or even been instructed by his producers to look at that film

The first Bad Boys is one of my all time favorite movies. When I was young I would watch it, rewind the tape, and watch it all over again. Movies nowadays don't have the same replayability as they did in the 80's and 90's. I rarely watch a modern movie more than once, and definitely won't watch one back to back.
  • lol at Martin hearing the Martin theme song ad nauseam. Growing up, I tell people my name is Doug and people would hum the Doug theme song 😅…another one is that I had a classmate named Stacey. It annoyed her to no end how many boys said her mom had got it going on. 😂😂😂
  • Gotta pull both of yall's Black cards. How yall never seen Bad Boys after all these years?
  • @charenzo95
Martin Lawrence was a golden gloves boxer in DC when he was a young man.
  • One of my favourite movie for the summer of 1995. It was so fresh and exciting at that time. 17 years old me and my friends went to the cinema, we still do quotes to this day. I thought Tea Lenoi was sooo gorgeous!
  • @BIGCEE94
34:59 “You forgot your boarding pass” Best lines in the movie.
  • The Poster was iconic and was on everyone's wall back in the day. by the time it came out on vhs, it went crazy
