Milei doesn't just want to cut the number of ministries in half, he already *did*. It was literally the first thing he did when he got into office. We went from 19 ministries to just 9.
  • @powerzx
I don't agree with you. The main source of problems was too high spending, corruption and thieving. If you spend more than you earn, then you will get bankrupt at some time.

1990 to 1910, 5 million pointing to 2050... your graphs are all wrong.

Argentina has been dying for like it seems forever - The elected officials for the last 30 years have been terrible and most should be in prison for stealing from there own people. But also have to blame who ever the idiots that kept voting these people into power. Someone needs to tell them what the definition of insanity. It is a shame because it’s such a beautiful country and has so much to offer the world.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received. "Whenever something doesn't make sense in the world it's usually because some form of corruption. Because someone is making money off of it." Very much applies here.
  • Literally the opposite of the titles is happening to Argentina right now. I’ve met many argentinians recently and they are extremely optimistic about Millei.
  • @tvo6453
Finally an Argentinian leader that understands basic economics and giving the country a chance to fix things
  • @reluginbuhl
Please fix your graphic at 3:38! Yes, 5 million in 1900, but you point to the 50 million in 2020!. You do it again at 15:56 with a figure that does not cover the time period you're talking about!

Remind me again how Argentina was better off under socialism, especially under Peron. This new guy is seriously kicking the country back into shape. It’s a slow progress. Also, calling socialism under another name is still socialism. See, This is a common tactic socialists always use that makes me laugh. 😂
  • The decrease in manufacturing is something that the US itself is currently experiencing. I am afraid that this channel is all about promoting free trade, as if free trade was the only answer to all economic woes. It is not.
  • @omaha2pt
I tend to be wary of libertarian ideologies, but if it works, it works. I wish the best for Argentina.
  • @Easy-Eight
Bolivia figured this out: retiree services . They get a set of rest homes for wealthy European, Canadian, and American retirees. These are "capital draws"; the good health care and inexpensive local economy allows retirees to relocate to Bolivia. Ergo, the Bolivian economy is growing off eldercare services. It's a win, win.

Milei needs to look over his shoulder for the rest of his life. Those cuts are absolutely necessary to start Argentina on a road to recovery, but boy are they painful for a lot of people. If his policies can be maintained, Argentina can become a blueprint for a lot of countries around the planet.
  • @rickjames18
Argentina is only going to get worse before it gets better. President Milei has said so often but most of all he told the people things would get hard. What Milei is attempting is very hard and he has little help from the west. I for one hope he manages it and is able to stop the leftist policy or peronistas that have ruined the country. Also, Argentina was already collasping, GDP crashing, and banks failing with large protest, that isn't new. At least Milei is trying to fix the corruption, over spending, and crazy inflation that was rampant.
  • @flippert0
"Rich like an Argentine" was a phrase used around 1900 - 1920, because the country was "el granero del mundo", the "breadbasket of the world".
