  • “They keep reading, even when the only word printed is NO” I just have to say that hit differently...

“If something happens You’d be asking for it” “I found out later; nobody told the boys to keep their hands to themself “

My male teacher had me call home because the holes in my pants were too “high”. After our encounter he had a talk with the class. He said things like “Girls should NOT wear pants that have holes above the knees” “ it makes me and my male students uncomfortable” “No one wants to see your big thighs”. He began threatening suspension. He was to worried about our pants to focus on the fact that his punishments were taking time from our education.

Teacher: Put a jacket on! Your shoulder is showing! Me: Damn I guess people like my greasy and pimply shoulder
  • My entire life,I've always been told: "Here's the rules for school: •no fighting, even if they hit you first •never wear a shirt without tucking it into your jeans first •keep your head down, don't draw attention •dont put that rainbow pin on your backpack! It will ruin your reputation! •never interact with your gf in more than a platonic/best friends kind of way in public •cover up, boys don't know how to control themselves •dont shower at school, I don't care how much you stink, boys love sneaking into girls locker room But I have never, not once in my life, heard a boy being told this: •no means no People set expectations too high for girls, and then get angry when we fail to meet those impossible standards. For example: •we're always told makeup would make us look prettier, but when we wear it, we're "fake" and "trying to hard" •we get told how quiet we are,but when we start talking, we're apparently "talking too much" •we can't express ourselves through clothing, bc "looks are the reputation of the eyes" This is really not fair to us...

I have a story So this boy in my school asked the science teacher to send me to the office or dress code me or whatever because I wore a lot of things that broke the dress code. And then she told him to stop discriminating against women he looked horrified.
  • I remember in 5th grade a boy said "oh my god i can see your bra strap" I stood up and loudly and with alot of drama said "oh yes nobody can know that me a GIRL wears a bra, somebody call Victoria because her secrets out" his face turned red and everyone laughed.
