Christopher Columbus did not reach India. This enraged his father who punished him severely.

my teacher put a 3 hour documentary for 3 whole classes straight, as you could probably guess, nobody paid any attention. This is 30min long (if you count part 2) and I learned more and felt entertained watching. thank you.

Oversimplified is the entire reason I love history
  • @LittleMouse.1
This upset the British, who punished them severely.

This does not change the fact that there are 21 million penguins in Antarctica, and in Malta there are 502,653 inhabitants. So if the penguins decide to invade Malta, each Maltese will have to fight 42 penguins.
  • Britain: There's a tax for that. There's a tax for that. There's a tax for that. Americans: oh really? There's attacks for that.
  • @bakersmileyface
This is awesome dude. The American revolution isnt taught in British schools beyond a few mentions of it so its cool to know more about it.

  • @sinjinsqanto4032
3:13 left out the part that most Americans served in the 7 years war and then were kicked off the land they fought and died for by the British and then were forced to pay taxes for a war that they apparently “won”

Leifur Eiríksson (Leif Eriksson's actual name) was Icelandic, and he was the son of Eiríkur rauði (Eric the Red), who colonized Greenland. Both colonies failed for reasons unknown, but Oscar Wilde said that they had good taste to lose America after finding it, lol.

These videos are great, I know they’re simplified as by the channels name but I’ve learnt quite a bit. I can remember learning history in school but it was boring as hell, this jazz’s it up, makes it way more interesting and covers the important and less important points, which all end up going into your brain way easier. 👍

This is the only person who just summed up my 2 months of research and learning in 2 minutes.
