I am trying to install the RTM version of Windows 98 and it refused to install.

When i try to boot up after 2nd restart it tells me Windows protection error: restart your computer

Hopefully Billy Bot will run on W98 in VirtualBox. He ran fine on W3x thru W98SE.

My games aren't working right on this Windows 98, and I don't know what to do. It will play sound for maybe 30 seconds, but if I click something, it stops making sounds and background music. Or it will just freeze up altogether. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi! One odd problem I always get when installing either WIndows 95 or 98 (I don't know for any other versions) it always goes a small way into the setup, and bugs sprites out, before finally bringing up an Undefined Error and CRASHING. Is there any way to fix this? Maybe I don't have the right version of Virtual Box? My Computer Specs: iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 Processer 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Memory Thanks!

I have Windows 98 on Virtual Box and 95 but I wish virtual box tools were supported on 9.x series

when i do it, it just finishes setup, then when i go to the hard disk, it says insufficent memory to install windows

If you are doing this installation using the floppy disk method, the full retail key is F73WT-WHD3J-CD4VR-2GWKD-T38YD I have tested this myself and it works (Only using the floppy disks though)

Where did you get the file that you used for choosing virtual optical disc file? I don't have that.
