Solitude is great and million times better than toxic relationship.

I learned all of this the hard way! It took several years before the effects started to impact my life in a major way. It was destroying my life to the point that I couldn't ignore it anymore. Its only this year that I really started to take steps to undo all the damage that loneliness does to your psyche and body. It took some courage because like she said, the anxiety, paranoia, lack of energy, etc. it makes you want to isolate even more. The isolation may be destructive, but on the other hand, if you've been lonely for many years, you're so used to it that it just feels safe. I empathize with anyone whose suffering from loneliness and I hope that things get better for them :(

It's not specifically about living alone choosingly, it's about being alone when you don't want to, but the loophole is you can't seperate loneliness yourself.

DEFINITION: Loneliness - Surrounded by people still feeling left alone in the world. Given not chosen. Solitude - Not surrounded by people, but feeling the whole world is within you (not seeking anything outwardly). Chosen not given. I pray that everyone lives in peace 😊

So those of us who have never been in a relationship in let’s say, 34 years of life, are very much screwed

Loneliness has found me my whole life, everywhere, bars and cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There is no escape. I'm god's lonely man
  • I fight against this cycle every single day, it's especially harder with work from home but then it also forces me to go out and do things, even if it's a short bike ride to a store to interact with someone there.

I can confirm, loneliness is definitely a killer. A slow and painful killer.

There are people in this world that enjoy being alone, but there isn’t a single person who can bear solitude.
